I don’t warrant your accusation (troll) and am asking you to support your claim. Otherwise a retraction is the correct thing to do.

A) I was bored
B) This board creates scepticism and it only took a moment of research

flyinhigh, just for fun, show me where my comments are inflammatory, irrelevant, offensive or otherwise disruptive.

1400TT, 600 PIC bcpilot you posted this 14+ years ago. That’s ~1100 hrs over that time span. Did you exit aviation or inherit someone else’s handle? I'm a low time pilot (305 hrs.) looking for work anywhere in BC, preferably in the kootenays. I have a group 1 IFR and 50 hours multi. Any ideas as to...

I’ve heard it’s a chemical toilet as system plumbing sacrificed for weight. Also a very small cook area just outside cockpit. Fun times.

AM onto A is where real oversteering is required as it is more than 90 degrees and I have seen 777's on that route.
AM to A has plenty of width so not a problem.

Re: Don't Cut The Corner

Thanks DHC-1. It would have helped had I taken the time to review ATC audio and notams before posting. Wide body (especially 777-300ER) require extra care when exiting D3 (and E) off 06L as those 90 degree taxiway’s are narrow.

Re: Don't Cut The Corner

D3 off 06L requires the use of an oversteering technique. Not a technique to be rushed and it requires the full attention of the crew. C3 to C then D3 allows for proper taxi width for wide body aircraft. I haven’t operated into YYZ since BC (before Covid) but I’m having difficulty imagining how a la...

whats the $ threshold when one can retire? Try using this government website. It’s not perfect but might give you some clues on what $$ you need to retire. As has been written earlier retirement goals are very individual. https://srv111.services.gc.ca/generalinformation/index I’d ideally be content...

I’d agree. A healthy dose of S.A!

Having operated into this airport many times in the past (C3,SSV days) this place along with OAX, MZO, PVR etc should make one extra vigilant with respect to terrain and procedural IFR clearances.

Try this https://www.worldsim.com

Their data rates are much cheaper than the extortion rates we pay at home. Pick up a mobile hotspot (around $80 cdn).
