For the interest of job security assuming that the choices are available, would it be wiser to go mainline RP than LCC FO?

Re: Air Canada Interviews
Thanks. I assume when once being employed by the LCC, the pilot does not refer to himself as an Air Canada pilot but "the leisure carrier/Rouge" pilot. For example when banks/credit card companies/insurance etc. asks Who is your employer, would one state Air Canada or "Rouge"?

Re: Air Canada Interviews
Thanks Fanblade for the explanation. What are the pros and cons of working for the LCC? Do you foresee a success in the LCC and a benefit to AC or is it gonna end up like a Zip situation? Can someone confirm my calculations... $46.94 x 77.5 hrs = $3637.85 per month/$43654.20 per year for a first yea...

When will the next equipment bid come out?homer85 wrote:The Nov GS is about to start (12th). Next one will most likely be in January. The next equipment bid will show the vacancies/requirements for LCC.
Are new hires expected to go LCC or mainline as well?

What are DBMs?altiplano wrote:Slightly lower hourly pay at LCC during first 4 flat pay years 1-4.
But with higher DBMs expected you may see little difference on the bottom line.

Re: Sky Regional and Embraer jobs
Well they won't have to throw very much at them, there are plenty of 704 jobs paying 60,000 plus for left seat. There was an ad not long ago for Saab 340 captain 75,000/yr. Now Scab regional is going to pay 70,000 for 75 pax jet Captain, absolutely disgusting.... Problem is, there will a line up of...

Re: Sky Regional and Embraer jobs
I'm playing devils advocate again; better these EMJ stay in the air with lower cost operation than the operator decide to ground the planes and layoff the pilots all together like transat. Fact is, it's a very competitive industry and better have planes flying for less than not flying at all. And a...

Ok, so to my understanding... You get Skype, send them an email of your resume and background/experience, set up a date and give Skype username, pay, and you receive the prep course? How long and is there a time limit for the practice interview? I suppose the advices, tips, and notes will be receive...

Pilot Career Centre Prep - Air Canada
I have a few questions on the PCC prep for anyone that has used it recently/previously to help prepare for the AC interview... How many of you new-hires here have used the interview prep? How accurate are the personality/behavioural interview questions? Does it prepare you for the cog and psych test...

Can anyone share any info on Georgian regarding schedule and pay for captain? Do they hire direct-entry captains? If not, how long from right to left seat?
Thanks!
