Re: Looking for a paved runway for a day of testing

Centralia (CYCE) has 5000' and 4400' runways. Isn't used much. Used it once upon a time to test a R/C aircraft for Western. Mustangs have also tested their various car projects there as well.

Ahhh, that could be it. (Those of you who feel stupid now, just go with it) I think the original 'riddle' assumes a conveyor belt the full length of a normal runway.

Scary to think that some who said it wouldn't fly, actually fly paying passengers for a living. Of course it will fly like only a few have said so far. The wheels will just be tur...

I spent one month at Seneca before giving them the boot. I didn't see how vocabulary tests based on mediocre literature were conducive to an education in aviation, not to mention they misappropriated funds from my account. I do enjoy seeing the incompetent staff striking in the cold every day that ...

I do recall just over a year ago, a certain company based out of YKZ was contracted to do the maintenance on another company's PC12 fleet. Anyways, engineer did a run-up with the tow bar still attached. Can you hear 'tink tink tink tink tink" all the way around? Yeah, you can still see the scuffs on...

Canada recognizes French and English as the two official languages of this country. This is basically why certain areas of the country (the east) offer ATC services in French. ATC controllers who work Montreal TCA (or anything "NavCanada") must be bilingual. That makes sense. What doesn't make sense...

From what I remember, the wing is built to withstand forces along its span. They are not great at withstanding forces along the chord. Th...
