Re: Good Spirit Air (YQV)

Thanks for the info co-joe.

I got a couple PMs as well and I appreciate the info.

Sounds like a decent company with good maintenance, and competent pilots.

Thats all I can ask for.

Nice to see a mom and pop get a decent contract over Transwestwind :)

Fly safe all.

Good Spirit Air (YQV)

Does anyone have any information either good or bad about this company? My better half is a nurse working in the north, and she just found out that her employer has hired this company to do all their charter flying (doctor and nurse rotations). I see they have 3- Beech 200s, but any information on m...

No. As long as the existing CP is current (valid PPC) on at least one type of aircraft in the fleet, they are good.

Student Pilot steals 172 and bangs it up pretty well

https://www.flyingmag.com/student-pilot-crashes-during-premature-solo-flight?enews061918 He needed 5 approaches to get it down, but luckily for him he is alive and well...and on his way to jail I would assume. Lots of damage to the aircraft. Amazing. He should at very least be banned from holding an...

Re: .'s incident with TC

Come on Rockie...you have been here long enough to remember when . 1st shared his story with us. He was very forthcoming and named many names in TC that were directly involved with his file. He named the DGCA by name...as the man that promised him the 250K in damages. TC has had 15 years to sue him ...

Re: Jazz is still hiring?

I know 3 young pilots who all have around 900-1000 hours right seat in a King Air, that are now flying for Jazz (2 in the -8 and 1 on the CRJ). They were all hired in the last 60 days...and two other pilots I know with under 1000 hours have been called in the past week for interviews. So as far as I...

Re: .'s incident with TC

And why did the inspector have it in for you? Some inspectors have it in for everyone. It’s hard to believe until you’ve met one but they do exist. Lucky for us all it seems they are getting to be more of a rarity these days. I have been flying since 1984. In the 34 years I have flown (25 commercia...

Re: Wasaya, maybe bankrupt?? maybe not..

It's cash up front with prime plus 2% paid back. B1900 is $9500, the dash is around $15000 I believe and so on. This is paid back over one year. Its gone down from when I was offered their 1900D in 1998...It was 11,000$ cash upfront back then. With a wife and 3 small kids, it was impossible for me ...

Re: What rating do I need to fly King Air 200?

I think all Beech 200 airplanes are high perfomance airplanes so a type rating is required. A Beech 100 is not a high perfomance airplane but the Beech A100 and B100 are. Correct me if I am wrong but I used to fly an early serial Beech 200 and I required a type rating on that airplane but I did not...

Re: "Any conflicting traffic..." Is A Stupid Thing To Say

What is wrong with the following call on 126.7? when making a position report?... Traffic on 26.7 this is Piper Navajo GABC, currently on the descent out of 6500 for 3000...30 north of Mukluk Sk, estimating the field in x minutes. Conflicting, 26.7/22.8 ABC. (Notice I said estimating the field, not ...

Re: Chief pilot with limited medical???

I have to admit I was very ignorant on the topic and my post came out really disrespectful, I should have given more thoughts before speaking, the last thing I want is offend people behind a nickname. So I want to apologies to all of those that I offended. I didn't find your comments offensive, but...

I am responsible for the safe operation of the airline as per TC. I've added 3 different a/c types to a...

Re: Beren's Band roasts air ambulance service in the media

I just quickly read the last 3 pages of this thread, and I cant see where anyone on either side of this issue suggested that breaking Regs was the way to fly Medevac? Maybe you should have read the first page? The following was what you wrote there. The first highlight you specifically said you bro...

Re: Beren's Band roasts air ambulance service in the media

I have to back up esp and redneck. The most unprofessional thing you can do as a medevac pilot is change how you fly based on the condition of the patient. You should not know, heli medevac Pilots down south are never told now, bc of their terrible safety record back in the day when they did know. ...

Re: Beren's Band roasts air ambulance service in the media

Its not the citation crew I am upset with...its the province not having a back up plan in place, that could have been implemented in 5 minutes once they knew the Citation crew couldn't do the mission. I have a bit of a problem with that statement. Regardless of what anyone thinks, nobody in Canada ...

Re: Beren's Band roasts air ambulance service in the media

One final FYI... and ill likely get flamed for this comment BUT... Well, you were certainly correct about THAT... I have a problem looking at people as freight...and an even bigger problem with people who do it. Human life matters, and I shudder to think who is flying air ambulances these days. Whe...
