Re: 737 to 787 Upgrade Times
Once Onex takes over, it can fix all that by selling Encore and entering into a long term CPA which guarantees revenue for the new investors. If that's what you really think, you're not just deluded, you're an asshole. What you are proposing is to tell 500+ WestJet employees that they are less than...

New Hangar at YYZ?
I noticed a new hangar being built on the south end of the airport next to the Peel Regional Police building. Does anyone know who it's for?

Re: Switching to flying in the US
Hi All, just a brief about myself for clarity's sake, I'm Canadian born and raised and thought I'd always fly in Canada through my career. However I have landed myself a green card in the US through marriage. I've converted my AA's over to the FAA, now I'm just looking for a bit of advice. I'm thin...

Re: Does Canadian Airlines request PRIA records from US?
I was born and raised in the US. I flew for a large regional carrier. I now live and work in Canada based in YYZ. I love it and life is good. The "American dream" is alive and well here in Canada. You mentioned Ottawa. It's a great city. Canadian carrier don't ask for PRIA records. If you work in th...

Re: 2018 Pilot Hiring
There is always expansion at Sunwing. Sunwing will have a busier winter season with more flights out of Saskatchewan because Air Transat will no longer fly there this winter. Sunwing will have two aircraft based there; one in Regina and one it Saskatoon (no crew base). Sunwing has announced several ...

Nav Canada Flight Inspection Pilots
Hello Everyone,
I've been curious for a while about working for Nav Canada as a pilot flying their flight inspection aircraft, but I've never seen any job openings for this position.
Does anyone have any info about this? What does attrition, QOL, pay, schedules etc... look like?
Cheers!

Re: 2018 Pilot Hiring
Hi Everyone, I was wondering if it's a good idea to apply to Sunwing with less than the minimums posted on the website. I'm currently at 800 TT and I know it's not even close but I just thought I would drop my application and keep updating it every so often. I heard a lot of great things and really...

Re: 2018 Pilot Hiring
There are plenty of qualified FO's, but like one poster said, they didn't want to give up their senior FO schedules. Also some didn't think their seniority would hold it so they didn't even bid for the upgrade. I'm sure management is going to get a flood of emails from FO's who were under the impres...

Re: A&P to AME
I'm also in the same situation. I have a FAA Mechanics certificate with both A & P ratings. I would like to have my AME as I live in Canada now. I'm currently working as a pilot, but would love the option of doing maintenance work in the General Aviation field at a local airport as miss it very much...

Re: 2018 Pilot Hiring
Too many skippers going to China? No skippers are going to China. Captains here make pretty good money considering the 1.5 hourly rate above 90 hours and the 2.0 rated above 100 hours in combination with the deployment intensives. Day pairing are very productive so you have lots of time off to pick...
