Re: 2012 Porter FO Reqt's?
I know for a fact that pilots have been interviewed and hired at Porter with less than 3000 hours, the ones that i know had ATPL's at the time but i have heard of guys getting hired without them. Internal recommends are huge at Porter just like at WS, if you can get a few of those it will go a long ...

Re: How to get a DH8
Agreed, the keyword here is "West" so if you plan on sticking with the girlfriend maybe WS isn't the right move for you. The WestJet Regional start up base is still yet to be named, but from what i'm hearing if it isn't YYC it will most certainly be West of the BC/Alberta Border.

Re: Foreflight now has Canadian IFR charts and plates on Ipa
I've had Foreflight for almost a year now. I've got the full pro subscription for the US as well as the Canadian subscription and i've really put it through its paces. Using the geo-referenced taxi charts as well as approach plates at airports like JFK was absolutely flawless. I've used the flight p...

Re: Borek Beech 1900?
I agree fully with what ahramin, a 1900 would be an excellent aircraft in that area with Northwright operating them and Tindi doing the same. With older aircraft's service life coming up what KBA will purchase and when are the big questions.

Re: Kenn Borek Basler sked, FO pay
If you're eyeing the Basler i cant say there is much of a schedule, 3 on 3 off-ish in the summer and an all expenses paid trip to Antarctica for the majority of the winter. If you're a DC-3 diehard though you'll definitely get to some very interesting places.

Re: Foreflight now has Canadian IFR charts and plates on Ipa
Just downloaded Update 2 for the Airport data and sure enough all plates are there. Its unfortunate that you cant download the plates by the province like you can for the US, you have to look at each plate individually for it to be saved to the Ipad unless i'm missing something. Haven't been able to...
