Short final is my choice for "Props Ahead". No noisy pitch changes because the power is already coming back, and its nice to have the props ahead because I need them for reverse. I had a Canadian Multi-IFR, went to the States do do some cheap night time building, got the FAA Private with my Canadian Licence. That pretty much sums it up. You can also do the FAA ATP course and then do the 25 question Air Regs conversion exam to the Canadian ATPL. The ATP in the US requires an instrument ride.

What will the Type-rating cost? Not a bad plan considering what's going on in the industry in Asia. I won't be at all surprised if you get picked up by a carrier.
