Re: Regional Career
Just smile and nod. It's always fascinating to see the mental gymnastics of the regional pilot telling you why his job is better than AC. Look at it the other way. Always interest seeing why people keep saying that AC is the better job. The key word I hear form nearly everyone at AC is "eventu...

Re: Regional Career
I’m 34 years old. I decided to spend my career as a regional pilot. The seniority that I would give up by going to a mainline carrier is not worth the extra money in my bank account. That extra money is basically just used to live in the expensive cities where mainline airlines are based. I have no ...

Re: $90k or higher.
Have you considered Jazz. With the YVR base being junior on the Q400, you could be a captain soon if you come if you come in with your ATPL. With a day or 2 of overtime a month it’s possible make 85-90K while being a captain at Jazz in you first year. For the charter and medieval side I don’t know m...

Re: Most risky flying decisions.
The most risky flying decision is easy.
Not saying “NO” when you should actually say no.
That saves you from a ton of problems.

Re: Wasaya caravan missing
I understand that the caravan was not certified for flight into known icing and we keep mentioning that. I am curious how do you file a VFR flight plan at 5500 feet when to me it looks like a strictly IFR day?

Re: What do you think of the new uniforms?
I spoke with UniSync and they said that the fake back pocket was part of the design. I have had to return the pants as the waist was too small and the 4 shirts because the next was too tight. I couldn't even button up the collar. I mentioned to them that everything did fit nicely at the uniform fitt...

Re: Direct to mainline WestJet
If Sunwing and Sky Regional, both Jet 705 aircraft operators are interested in guys with times like yours and mine, I would not be surprised to see Wesjet doing the same since they operate same aircraft. Yes, Sunwing or Sky don't have sub carriers like Westjet with Encore, but still. Correct me if ...
