I'm shocked at the amount of scabs that are in favour if scabbing on this thread. Makes me sick.

Re: Why WJ Pilots lost all my respect

Why are Air Canada pilots applying at WestJet? I've heard of quite a few lately making the switch.

I don't get it.

Re: Why Must We Call FSS (while IFR)

Here's the accident that caused procedures to be changed. Before this, you didn't have to call ahead.

Pay special attention to sections 1.10.4, 2.5, 4.1.3

Re: Bearskin Rampie

Back when I got hired at the Bear, I took 10g's out of my ING GIC and paid the bond up front.

I then started to recieve payments every month from Bearskin at prime plus 1% for two years.

I earned an extra 3.5% with my Bearskin bond than with ING.

I'd sign another one if they'd let me.

I don't know.....

I think I like the old brown and orange paint scheme better.

This one looks too modern for Bearskin.

Being a low-time pilot, sure I'd do it. As long as it was guaranteed that I wouldn't get in trouble with the canadian authorities, i wouldn't get pistol whipped by any rival cartels, and I wouldn't end up getting "butt-blasted" in a south american dungeon for the rest of my life. Hey, if they could ...

I looked into it too a few years ago.

The thing that scared me off was the insurance.

The rates then were super high for pilots with less than 500hrs.

Also, make sure the engine has plenty of time left on it.

I got the feeling that he wasn't trying to fail me, he was looking for stengths, and he let me know what they were. Oh yeah, thanks for the advice, you guys were right on the button. To a...

I think the degree requirement is a good idea.

It doesn't have anything to do with flying, it just proves to them that you can accomplish a goal.

the 50-hour bush course is useless if you want to step into flying job immediately. If you're young and can spend some time on a dock then it could help in the long run Do your whole commercial on floats if you want to step into a job flying. If you are a private pilot looking for a great experience...

Student Pilot here... I need some help with my homework. When do cockpit instruments have to be serviced? Where can I find out the servicability schedules for the six main instruments. I've looked in the CARS and the AIP and I haven't found much. I know it has something to do with the 100hr and annu...
