Re: Warrior with 2 on board fails to arrive in Kamloops
well it seems strange and if I'm wrong but this pilot just got his licence and the ink hasn't had time to dry yet and then making a cross the rocks hop in perhaps iffy weather, I believe that plane was a rental so how does that work ? I truly hope they will be found safe and sound

Re: Homebuilt Amphib @ Nanaimo.
I had a engine failure on a test flight years ago in a Commanche during takeoff, I turned back from whatever altitude I had, what saved me was pure luck .....my knees were shaking so bad after I landed I had to hold on to the door......I remember thinking of just saving the plane and no thought of a...

Re: My hometown on the news...
On one occasion I went on a test flight with a pilot that reeked of booze. I mentioned it to the chief pilot who said " oh man not again!" No action taken though. Safety has become such an industry it is no longer useful. as well I went on a test flight with a pilot who smelled of booze and cigaret...

Re: My hometown on the news...
What kind of corporate culture lets something like this go unattended to? Wasaya let a broken hangar window go unattended and a 14 page thread on AvCanada ensues. No ones interested in what these guys do however. gotta agree with you on that one, a few summers ago a heli dude moved the machine clos...

Re: Crash @ North Spirit Lake Ont (4 dead, 1 survivor)
Nothing is going to change with this company. Flying 2 crew will not solve anything. Snag airplanes you're fired. Refuse to go you're fired. Refuse bags you're fired. They love to make one guy the example to put fear in the hearts of everyone else. The end result is that you have 2 guys in the cock...

Search is going on but it will not be easy. The pilot has been flying in the area for 18 plus years.

Re: RCMP helicopter crash near Cultus Lake
the engine probably stayed in place more or less, the transmission came forward when the support pylons broke but even at that it didn`t go far in any direction, no leading edge damage at all on the blades so it appears they weren't turning too fast on touchdown
