Re: Cargo TA

What is said here means nothing but the facts are the pay at AC is substantially higher that Transat and will be an issue in controlling windfall gains. Upside for Transat is they are the flag carrier for the Peoples Republic of Quebec and aren't going anywhere, much like that bottomless pit of gove...

Re: Cargo TA

Simple, highest T4 earner at AC is (very) close to twice what a Transat Pilot earns - pre-Covid. If the number one Transat guy thinks he should slide in as a T7 Captain that is a massive windfall gain. Now I understand there was a new contract just before the bottom fell out, however did anyone ever...

Re: Cargo TA

CAIL actually failed, and still got ratioed Might want to check your facts, CAIL certainly never failed. I wish nothing but the best to the Transat Pilots, but my advice would be to temper your expectations. DOH will never happen, for no other reason than AC does not have a DOH seniority list. Plus ...

Re: Cargo TA

Who said anything about recalls? This Airline could layoff another 1500 Pilots tomorrow, this is jobs and revenue, both desperately needed. When this mess started I wrote the MEC and said I would be happy with a 50% paycut to save jobs, we took a 30+% cut. The entitled opinions from the laid off cro...

Re: Cargo TA

P.M.G, be very thankful this passed, or your arrogant millennial @ss would be laid off a whole lot longer.

Re: Cargo TA

Where did all the loud mouth, 250 hour Jazz experts go? Sorry... Quite a few hours more than that. Came from a couple companies before this but not jazz. Second career. 2 university degrees. When I decided to become a pilot the plan was always keep moving forward. Aka don't purposely vote on a pote...

Re: Cargo TA

Looks like this forum has been taken over by Pilots on Furlough, who think they have all the answers. Quite funny actually, we saw this after TA1 when a bunch of children stood at the back of the meeting and heckled the presenters. A couple of those clowns managed to get into elected positions and ...

Re: Cargo TA

You do know we are at 63 hours as a work sharing agreement? There are MANY line Pilots that would be quite happy to go to 77.5 and you would continue to be laid off that much longer.

Re: Cargo TA

[/quote] There's literally one person part of P4C who you could consider junior and based on what I've seen they have more critical thinking skills than half the pilot group and most of the MEC. They've been here much longer than "a few months" as you try to spin, and had valuable union experience e...

Re: Cargo TA

Scared of P4C, now that's a laugh. I said when they first dropped their kimono that it would crumble under its own weight. I am all for change, just get the right players involved. Loud mouthed, disrespectful Pilots that have worked here for a couple months are not the answer. Reading some of the po...

Re: Air Canada and Transat announce Updated Purchase Price at $5 per share

20 years down the road the Canadi>n Pilots are still second class citizens, on a B-Scale pension. Even after an Arbitrator ruled the plans were to come together, ACPA has refused. Funniest group group were hired in the late 90's, if you were a Dash 8 co-pilot at Air Nova and got hired at AC thanks t...

Re: Air Canada and Transat announce Updated Purchase Price at $5 per share

With any luck ACPA and ALPA negotiate a whiny bitch clause that will put FL280 at BOTL Thanks for the laugh! You boys should have seen the graffiti written all over the walls in the flight planning room in YUL during the last merger. Written by a bunch of 5 year olds! The C-Suite just shakes their ...

Re: Appologies

Tough not to call that a sweep for the anti-p4c crew. The 1 P4C candidate that ‘won’ retained his seat by acclamation. P4C is wildly less popular than the forums would have you believe. I believe the membership has delivered a clear message tonight that they will not accept ALPA at any cost and the...

Re: Appologies

The board wants us. So yeah, not really going to be a problem. But keep peddling the anti ALPA narrative and misinformation. Maybe go talk to someone who was part of the ALPA initiative and get the facts. Good lord, everyone in this conversation is pro-ALPA, try to keep up! I have spent plenty of t...

Re: Appologies

The last election a group ran for office with the agenda to stop the progression toward ALPA. They just weren’t up front about it to the membership. In fact ACPA has had this happen multiple times now. People with a common agenda get elected and pursue said agenda. This time, for a change, we have ...

Re: Appologies

Where to start on who doesn't get it. So the P4C crowd isn't going to take over but we will all be in ALPA before we start down the merger road with Transat. If that is the mantra they are preaching to the junior crowd, heaven help you! You are either that naive or simply do not have an understandin...

Re: Appologies

The only thing threatening the Junior Pilots right now, is who gets on the merger committee. No fear mongering - important discussion! ACPA was out of their league against the CAIL merger committee for two reasons, the CAIL group were merger experts and ACPA was arrogant. I am all for change and wel...
