For the cost of 4 Q400's you could purchase 5 ATR's, how many sectors could an extra airplane do Good point. The Q400 operator is extremly profitable. I'm not sure about the ATR one. I fly a Q400 in a market that is shared with ATRs. They are embarrassingly slow and cruise much lower and in more weather over the same routes as us. Ok they may be cheaper to run per hour but their speed could cost them a revenue flight per day on a busy network. ie. have time for only 8-9 sectors ...

2 WEEKS!! :shock: Is this standard in Canada? Our nations standard is 4 Weeks and pilots and FA's get 6 weeks.

Pan Am training in the states runs the best program im aware of, for price and quality of training. They should be able to do up a package for TC to get you rated. Also they have good contacts for low hour flying in china etc. Call this guy. Good luck. It should cost about half what they said in Can...
