OK ... sure.
But just how commercially viable is it? The real question in the minds of every northern operator is "How many Moose quarters will it haul?"

Re: "It's who you know"
Yup. Its the old concept called "networking" and is exceptionally important in all business (or personal) situations. The time to start that process is the day you decided to get a Commercial Pilot Licence. Back when the earth's crust was still cooling and I was a newbie looking for employment or ca...

It's called a "Practical Flight Test" to see if you can control the aircraft properly. These tests used to be done by Transport .... who knows what is up with that now. The aircraft may need to be temporarily modified in some way, for example an interconnect between one control and another such as s...

In the short-lived BBC comedy series "Come Fly With Me," there is a segment where the slimeball company president and owner had recorded a video rebuttal to passenger complaints about a recent change in seat pitch causing extreme passenger discomfort. It was quickly exposed as being a bit of corpora...

I'm not a candidate, but can say the 151 was a sweet flying airplane. When it first came out, I was running a flying school at Pitt Meadows and one of my renters said it perfectly ..... "Piper has made it a nice airplane by putting a Cessna wing on it."

Re: Ryanair screws up pilot leave requirements, and cancels hundreds of flights
"Come Fly With Me" is a superbly done parody of the world of aviation. Unfortunately poor ratings caused the BBC to cancel the series after only about six episodes. There are a few outtakes from various episodes on youtube.com be sure to add BBC to the "Come Fly With Me" in the search window. Here's...

TV Series .... Botswana Newbies Looking For A Job
Just finished watching a video series done about 5 years ago about pilots from various far-flung places trying to get "a first seat" with air carriers operating out of the town of Maun, Botswana. Reminds me of times when newbies would flock to Yellowknife, La Ronge, or other aviation hot spots at th...

Yes, Inspectors that had been conducting PPCs and seeing how a company actually functioned were chained to their desks, all enforcement files or investigations were closed. Inspectors were "disencouraged" to even phone an Ops Mgr to correct a typo in an Ops Manual amendment that was submitted. It wa...

Confusedalot properly makes the point of an SMS for the likes of Air Canada being applied to a Mom & Pop being totally inappropriate .... and that's exactly what was behind my mention of an "SMS-like" program. In the King Air example, a properly functioning reporting and analysis system would have a...

Re: "Weak aviation oversight making skies less safe: Opinion"
As an FYI, many large companies or customers require an AOC holder to have some form of SMS structure if the operator is going to get the contract for the work. Its a good system in the right hands. For those operators who are in the "Our people have lots of experience, just leave 'em alone and ever...

If the previous one gets close to expiry, drop in and they would process a temporary to bridge the need.

Wow ..... this is huge news! I'll bet nobody in the aviation journalism world has any idea that sometimes loads are reduced for WAT limits...... Best wishes on picking up the reins of the horse once again after 35 years. Yes, lots and lots has changed, but a whole lot is the same .... like crosswind landings.
