Re: Liberal Regulations Hampering Efforts to Fight Alberta Wildfires
Just a bit of a side topic here and I don’t agree with anything TC has done in the last 15 years, but the numbers of diminishing pilots expressed by the very unprofessional news media is bull shit. If they took the time to read the rest of the information where they discovered this dramatic reductio...

I’m 69 and the other pilot working on floats this year was 76. Wait, what was the question?

Re: 2022 float flying season
I’d like to hear from some of the guys who are not going back to floats this year as to the reasons why. I am a bit amazed of the lack of qualified people available for the industry. Maybe it’s the low salary or working conditions that many are not able to swallow when you see Alaskan lodge adds off...

Re: Turbo Beaver Hard landing
Glassy water gets a little of my added attention. Glassy water with a dark overcast really gets my attention especially with high dark foliage along the shoreline. From the conditions I see at the recovery, I would maybe suggest that those conditions might have existed at the time?? Not the foliage ...

Re: Saskatchewan Provincial Park Restrictions for Float Planes
My initial concern was that some provinces are prohibiting motorized vessels on some sensitive lakes and once you come down off the step, your a boat with a motor on it. Delivered the beaver a while ago and landed in GreenWater lake to refuel. The Sask government guy was really helpful with a reply ...

Re: Saskatchewan Provincial Park Restrictions for Float Planes
Just need to stop at my half way point and throw in some fuel. Greenwater Lake is where I’d like to stop. Won’t even go to shore unless it’s windy. I see Mann Lake another 30 miles or so to the east but google sat photo is covered in ice at the time it was taken and there is nothing more I can find ...

Saskatchewan Provincial Park Restrictions for Float Planes
Ferrying a float plane through Saskabush next month and was wondering if there were any restrictions landing at a lake in a provincial park? Have sent an inquiry to the provincial agency but no joy thus far. Thanks

Re: Harbour Air
I've always wanted to go back to the west coast and fly for Seair or Harbour Air but I can't get over giving up 10-12K a month to do it. My employment usually comes with free accommodations minus food. I can't understand why these two companies haven't secured crew housing for their seasonal employe...

Re: Crohns and Colitis
2013 Bowel resection a year after Crohn's diagnoses. Pentasa, Asacol, and Entocort for the flare ups. Never needed a note from my GI Doc. Basically just asked how I was doing on the drugs. Pentasa and Asacol were absolutely useless with big side effects. Entocort was great for simmering everything d...

Re: Jacksons in Manitoba
Someone I know bumped into a guy in Toronto Pearson on their way across the country. This guys said he owned a twin otter on floats for private use. Showed pictures. Says he worked with an auto recycling company and was heading to wpg. Only private twotter I know if was Max Ward's. Says Jacksons doe...

Does anyone know if Jacksons used to have a Twin Otter at one time or do they service one for an auto parts recycle company?

Re: Effective Date Range of Summer/Winter Passenger Weights
I understand it was July 2012 but I've been wrong before. If I can wake up the grey matter, I think I read that on a TC web site.
