Good Day, I'm looking for an AME or Apprentice AME that would be interested in doing a bit of work on an amateur built aircraft. Frosty, I see your training for your PPL(A). Keep in mind that the majority of the cockpits in the CF are Helicopters so your chances of getting selected helicopters are slightly higher. Any idea if the increased Pilot recruiting extends all the way to ROTP recruiting? I understand that the pilot trade for ROTP is very competitive. If it extends all the way to ROTP, what sort of marks and extracurricular would make an applicant competitive? Just curious, as I'm thinking of going to...

From what I was told they had approximately 180 (ish) Pilot slots this year. That's an unusually large intake number. AFAIK they have filled all of the available slots this fiscal year, and any new applicants will most likely have to wait until the new fiscal year (April/13) for more positions to op...

Also, FYI there is another program open besides ROTP and DEO. Its called the Continuing Education Officer Training Plan (CEOTP). Typically in the past it only opened periodically depending on the fiscal year and the intake numbers for that year. It is currently OPEN and has been completely revamped ...
