I am very interested in the conversion for a career and would be curious about the specifics with the sim rental and the extra bits that need to be done. A PM would be great if you prefer.

2 planes making the trip is still 2 planes making the trip, whether 50/50 cargo/pax or not. If you split the luggage and had to have both aircraft arrive at the same time, you're just missing out of the opportunity of increasing frequency on that route, even if you were to stagger the flights by an ...

Re: ATF Procedures
You can fly the circuit at whatever altitude you please, turn crosswind when you feel like it, and formation arrivals are fine with prior communication.
Just use good airmanship with others in the circuit.

Thanks! I am looking for ATH-YYZ, but I won't have many options if it doesn't work out, so for this time I think I will play it safe until I get more comfortable with jumpseat travel.

Easy to say when you have a job on an A scale. Pilots are asking how do we collectively increase the starting pay at CPA carriers? I told them how and using market forces plus a little self discipline will probably achieve the desired result on the quickest possible timeline. Let's not get in to th...

Yes, EASA does not issue a license for a frozen ATPL, but the term is widely used among flight schools and some recruiters.

Re: Are There Frozen ATPLs in Canada?
It is correct that there is no Frozen ATPL in Canada, however comparing it directly to EASA which has a frozen ATPL, the criteria is to have the exams written while waiting for the required hours. I would believe your candidate is using a simplified and understood term for expressing their license s...

When that cargo door is closed, it is essentially part of the fuselage. Has the same structural integrity as any other area of the fuselage. Highly unlikely anything related to the cargo door.

Re: Situation for Jazz New Hires
Good question. Jazz is not the same company it was 1 year ago. It is likely why they are hiring pilots with less than 1500 hours to fly their 705 machines.Flyboycanada80 wrote:that doesn't sound very good for new hires, why would anyone accept this?Krimson wrote:Year 1 pay, not on the list, and no carry over seniority to AC.
