Searching online for a copy of the new TA has left me empty handed, I'm should be in the hiring process soon but would like to see from my own eyes the TA document before committing to anything.
You can PM me if you'd like.
Thanks!

Re: French FAA Pilot to Canada
Wages in Canada are equivalent to those of a third-world country when you compare them to the US. Do yourself and your bank account a favor, build your 1500 hours in the US and then get on with a US regional.

Re: Jazz or Porter (in terms of commuting out of yul) ?
Jazz also has a commuting policy which if followed will keep you out of trouble. There are also multiple options to get in and out of YUL using Air Canada's network. Giving your ultimate goal is AC, the new collective agreement at Jazz provides a pretty good path there. Didnt know there was a commu...

Flying after ACL reconstruction
I had my right ACL reconstructed and my meniscus stitched back together last november after a stupid tumble skiing. The operation was a success and I have been doing my physio religiously from day 1. Almost 3 months post-op today and I am walking like I was before. Anyone out there had the same surg...

Re: Logbook App
I'm cheap and I'm far from being able to spend another +100$/year on a novelty item so I use Zululog as a backup to my paper logbook. Their free version has unlimited entries and is more than enough for what I need.

Re: Clarification on SPEC VIS
Thanks for the feedback guys! I went back and verify and all dauntless Q's on SPEC VIS mention using GS to determine aircraft category so I fired them an email.
BTW I passed the INRAT today with a 92%, I'm pretty happy! The GF will be paying me a beer tonight too!

Clarification on SPEC VIS
Hey guys, I am about to go write my INRAT and I am getting contradictory info on a/c categories for SPEC VIS. so, at the risk of getting shot down, allow me ask you the IFR gurus one simple question. Are aircraft categories for SPEC VIS departure are based on groundspeed or indicated speed? Harvsair...

Re: Question on calculating minimum alternate requirements
Its in the CapGen (I believe -- or in the AIM) -- but bottom line its common sense. You cannot take credit for any TEMPO improvement, as its a transitory improvement, which may not in reality be the condition when you arrive -- You also though if the TEMPO condition is worse and puts you below mini...

Re: Question on calculating minimum alternate requirements
Post again explaining how and why you're incapable of downloading the TC AIM and searching for the phrase "alternate minima" - or even using Google - and I'll tell you where to find it. Don't worry photofly, I'm a pretty resourceful guy and I'm not looking for a free ride or to waste anybody's time...

Question on calculating minimum alternate requirements
Is there there anywhere in the CARs/CAP/AIM that says that we cannot take credit for improving weather during a TEMPO for alternate calculations? Say the alternate minima is 600-2 and our planned ETA is 22z. Can we use the following alternate? I answered YES we could because of the TEMPO but it is a...

Interpolation for the CPL flight test
Hey guys, Quick question on the ground part of the CPL flight test. Is it required to do the interpolation for things like the FD winds, cruise performance and take-off and landing distances? Or is it acceptable to just go to the higher (more conservative) value in the POH? Example: Lets say I need ...

Flight Test Notes
Good morning all, Way back in 2001 this book (Flight Test Notes) helped me nail the PPL flight test. This was the circa 2000 edition of the book. More than a decade later, I am gearing up the the CPL flight test and Andrew has since published 2 other editions. Dear Avcanada folks, do you think it wo...

Hey Chaser, At least there's two of us in the same boat! At age 34 I am making an descent living working ground ops for a big cargo airline, I stopped flying 10 years ago after 150 hrs and just shy of the CPL written and flight test. Most of my buddies from the flight training days are now flying re...
