Re: Babcock acquiring SkyNorth

Shifting gears, not Babcock - hearing Sunwest now ... Manitoba would be great for them, and vis versa.

Re: Babcock acquiring SkyNorth

Also interesting that they added a Citation to their fleet - falls in line with the NPP# 28860 just announced that is a 10 yr contract for the old LifeFlight program - could be quite the ambulance campus over there with STARS next door.

Babcock acquiring SkyNorth

Rumblings of Babcock acquiring SkyNorth in Winnipeg - gets them big new hangar on west side, and a foothold to fixed wing ambulance, and additional bomber maintenance space.

Re: Manitoba Govt Air Services to be Privatised

The Procurement Services Branch published a letter dated today (April 16, 2019) that their department is ... "in the midst of preparing the next steps in regards to the Air Ambulance portion of the RFP. At the appropriate time, we will be in contact with you regarding the next steps" No-one has been...

Re: Manitoba Govt Air Services to be Privatised

So Vanguard Air Care is running around telling everyone they have the RFP Ambulance contract (however it has not been announced). They are making a concerted effort to poach AMS medic staff from other carriers using this statement even though it is not true - real greasy! They even have their rampie...

Re: "Planes need to get accustomed to cold" quote

This is why I'm dumping all my shares in this company ... when you get rid of capable and knowledgable people within your organization simply to prop up your dividends. So on Wed evening this week, someone who must not have a lot of experience does a run-up on a Metro with the tug hooked up. Final r...

"Planes need to get accustomed to cold" quote

Wow, those in charge of Perimeter say their aircraft need to get "accustomed" to the cold ... http://www.winnipegfreepress.com/local/criticized-for-ongoing-delays-perimeter-aviation-to-purchase-additional-aircraft-407523956.html So, apparently all the aircraft from different companies they chartered...

Re: perimeter

Love how Perimeter and EIC Group is spinning story to make it sound like weather when in fact Transport
had been there last week resulting in the fleet parked on Friday.

No Dash 8's running yet

All in the name of keeping up the EIC share price for investors

Nolinor CV-580 chartered to do Island Lake scheds today.
Gonna be a few days or more to clear up issues.
Very unhappy campers up north.

Re: Fast Air Medevac Crash Bloodvein last night - 2nd in 2016

Love the "word on the street" opinions ... Notams generally cover soft & wet conditions, regular flights and medevac flights have been in and out on a daily basis. The crew did land prior to their departure "hence" is the decision making process a factor? Let's hope a taxi way departure wasn't part ...

Kenn Borek Medevacs

Was talking with a buddy at Kenn Borek and he mentioned they are waiting for a medevac RFP to be issued in Manitoba? Is that Province following in the tracks of Ontario?
