Re: Cascade Aerospace BC

Try Premier Aviation in Trois-Rivieres. They do Westjet, Canadian North, First Air, B727, B737 etc.

Re: New Twin Otter set to fly

That's not the first time that A/C has flown. It was manufactured in 1974. Check the registry for C-FDHT. Anyone can upgrade the avionics and engines on a -300. Borek does it all the time. Let me know when Viking actually flies their own metal.

Re: Bad business practice or good business practice?

This also happened to me once. The thing was, I was flying YYZ-YYC and the flight I was on was a hour late. When my bag didn't show for my flight, I spoke to the CSAs and they said my bags would be on the next flight and setup the $100 credit file. The next flight arrived only 15 minutes after my fl...

I don't think you require a LSTC for a skytrac install. The only reason you would require one if you were installing the antenna in a pressurized area. A skytrac system does not affect the AFM and is not required equipment such as a GPS,NAV,COM etc. It is classified as a minor mod with a W&B and Ele...

The prototype 600 (601) is in MCO for the TVs right now. The rest to be done in the fall. Say goodbye to the aft pit.

I'm no spelling pro - I just thought someone should change it.

Cariboo Ad

I think someone should check the spelling in that Cariboo ad that shows up to the Right.

Cheers,

Hard to justify paying someone who doesn't work. There are a lot of non-unionized companies that pay well. Your post shows that you are a typical union worker. You should try working with the company instead of against it.

I think a recap of the last week of NCA is in order. Far too many rumours by Avcanada "experten" being perpetuated. (if you don't hear a rumour by 10AM... start one!). The company appears to be doing fine. Flying is down, but there is no layoffs to pilots yet, and I doubt there will be (of course, ...

If there are layoffs at Cariboo I don't think it has anything to do with the oil patch slowing. Cariboo recevied 2 additional DHC-8s and there is another on the way bringing the total to 5. They have sold 1 1900c and are looking to sell more of their smaller aircraft(90s and 100s) so I've heard. Als...

If Kelowna wages are in the top 5% why are they having such a hard time finding people? I guess sometimes the sunshine can brainwash you, eh. The hand held unit you are refering to is most likely a Traffic system which isn't TCAS. The systems airdcraft will be required to have are either a TCAS or a TCAS II system. The TCAS I provides visual and aural warnings (TA). The TCAS II provides TA and RA warnings. If two aircraft have TCAS II are...

Actually the MI-8/17 is probably the best choice for a medium lift chopper. There has been more than 10,000 of them built and they can be converted to a gunship very simular to the Mi-24 hind. The Mi-26 is far to large to operate effectively. The Mi-26 can move a payload simular to a C-130 but is ve...

Maybe it's not the engineers maybe its also the pilots loading the plane to the nuts. Maybe the next time you think about laying the boots to the engineer fixing your bus you should think about who really knows more about the aircraft you're flying. Do you think you are god or something?
