Westjet is cheap and they are not going to fill those AME positions fast enough. Encore pays peanuts and they will end up getting monkeys.

KF is a dump of a company and I certainly would not recommend it to anyone. Too much cronyism from some of the corrupted managers and you might as well be a slave if you are going to be doing heavy maintenance day in day out. No, Transport Canada will not give you a direct conversion from your B2 licence or whatever foreign licence that you may have. Most companies that I have worked with have not had a problem with defueling in hangar provided the common sense precautions are taken and all equipment and aircraft are electrically grounded. Then again you have to go by your company policies.
