To colleagues, who know me here, I have enjoyed working with you. To my pilot friends and fellow posters, I hope we will cross pa...

There are a great bunch of gays and gals working there. The working relationship between the controllers and management seem to...

There is no fabric left on it, and I didn't get close enough to see if there is a data plate on it.

18. It was in '72 and I had a good summer job (driving a gravel truck) so I could afford the $700 that the ppl cost.
I went to Con College for the CPL and graduated in '79. ( CLGUY was in my class).

It took about 6 years of part time work to put the Murphy kit together. That is all of the sheet metal work, the panel wiring, engine install, plumbing, rigging, etc. I know of a chap who built one in 1.5 years but he was retired and worked on it daily. I needed about 3000 hours to put it all togeth...

Cat, Don't paint us all with the same brush...... and don't put the blame solely onto Navcan. Transport Canada enforcement HAS, in the past, written up and FINED an ACC shift manager for "using his discretion" in not reporting a blown altitude (pilot called and apologized for his action and no risk ...

Re: Transponders & IFR

Has anyone here ever flown IFR without a functionning transponder? Is this something that controllers frown upon? Comments?? If it breaks in the air or if you have to get to a place to fix it you can fly without it. Prior approval is required for the later. I don't frown upon it, shite happens. It ...
