Average flight time
Hey guys, How long was your average individual flight session? I’m quite early into training (I’m barely over double digits in my logbook) and I’m averaging 1.0 to 1.2 on the hobbs per flight lesson. By the time we run-up, taxi, fly a bit, taxi back, I don’t feel it’s long enough. After running thro...

Re: The beginning of the end of small private airstrips

Re: The beginning of the end of small private airstrips
So I tried reading the rules and regs but couldn’t decipher half the garble goop, so I’m looking for plain language here. Is the following statement correct? Today’s way of doing business for having a your own private strip is to do a public/municipal consult if your strip is: 1) located within a ci...

Consolidated backcountry locations in Canada
Tried searching around and I couldn’t find a one stop shop for a list of backcountry landing destinations much like what you’d find in Idaho, Utah, Nevada, etc. I watched a bunch of Trent Palmer’s YouTube videos and thought “wow, if it looks that cool down there then up here in the great white north...

Keep'em coming!

Tell us about YOUR flight training...
Didn't see any posts about this, and yes I searched it... Lets start a thread on YOUR flight training... I think it would help paint a cool picture for any newbs like myself to see what they're in for to see where, what, when, how long, and the question everyone loves knowing, what kind of ball park...

Re: Worked for PAL contract. Company refuses to pay flight h
Send an email to a lawyers office explaining the situation and add in the proof of how they said they would pay for the flight. Then send it off to the lawyers office but cc your contact or someone even higher at PAL. Most likely once they see that they have a potential lawsuit on their hands over p...
