Isn't that the Swoop business model? bahah amazing. Thats a truly good ad and perfectly legal. yes you have to do the flight in my opinion. Sorry to ruin the party but you can't ask for money, if they gave you anything it could only max out at reasonable split of costs. You are just time building w...

Well, legal money loosing sched service. Maybe. As long as you do the flight regardless of whether or not anyone shows up.
You would have to do the flight whether or not anyone shows up, that's what makes the passengers in the future incidental.

Given the insurance hike in the float world I would anticipate wages stagnating for a year or so on the bushier aircraft types.

Just replace what was there. If you are selling the plane. Nothing is a worse investment than avionics, you pay 100 percent to only get back 30.

If the employer tells the holder to move stuff between one camp and another by air it's not incidental to the holder's duties; it has just become part of the holder's duties. He can get paid extra up to the cost of reimbursement, for using his own plane, but (for example) for transporting himself; ...

Hey everyone, I am in the earlier stages of my career and am thinking of starting a float flying job on something like a C180 or C185. I am wondering though if i do start flying floats would it be harder for me to get a FO position on a multi turbine down the road on something like a king air? Comp...

with the complete and utter insurance clusterfuck for float operators it would be easier for you to move from airlines on to floats. How bad has insurance for float operators gotten? I have seen many references to higher rates at renewal, but nothing about insurance wanting more experience. every o...

the answer is... it depends if it is something like a single radio and you're having a private ame (freelance not working under an amo) you'll likely be fine with a tag. if you're having it installed by an amo you may be fine with a tag if you've bought the unit from a vendor with approval from the ...

Re: 5600 LB Gross Weight Increase for DHC-2

whipline offers an up gross stc for about half the price of the viking mod.

you'll need wing mods, rivet pitch changes, lifetime struts, horizontal stab gets a strap, 4930 floats etc.

last time I looked into it the viking stc was around 60k and the whip was about 25.
