http://www.cbc.ca/beta/news/canada/calgary/toddler-sat-in-pee-air-canada-grandmother-says-1.4166122 Wow it seems people are no longer able to think for themselves. It's always someone else's fault! This is just rediculious. From top to bottom, Air Canada never ceases to amaze me. Now, lets prepare ...

Re: Westjet bumps pax after launching ad campaign that it doesn't
The last two two times I was on an air Canada this year that had a maintenance issue, both were less than 2 hour delay and replaced with an aircraft same size or larger. Pretty small inconvenience must say I was pleasantly surprised at how fast we were all deplaned and switched to another machine. ...

Nice try Gravol. Please don't hijack this thread. It's about Westjet bumping the poor underprivileged youth bike racing team. Weather? Where? Probably down gauged for an anemic load. Deflect and deny all you want. Gabor is getting involved and he will see justice for these poor guys I am sure... AC...

Re: Westjet bumps pax after launching ad campaign that it doesn't
Nice try. Westjet screwing up the logistics / routings / schedule of a biking team does not make their business strategy or commercial false :D . As per the story, Westjet did NOT bump passengers as a result of a disgraceful overbooking business practice. The original AC was not available for reaso...

No airline has a 100% customer satisfaction rate. No airline is perfect, nor will they ever be perfect. No airline can hire or screen 100% "no fault" employees Where does this leave us? I will fly with the airline who has delivered reliable and consistent product as per my subjective experience. If ...

Lets hope some good comes out of this.
On a side note, a new low for the CBC. Uploading an amateur video showing the deceased pilot in the wreckage. I'm delighted my tax payer dollars fund such incompetence.

Save the speculation and inferiority complex malfunctions for another day. Many family and friends just woke up to very tragic news and it's going to be a very difficult season for them.
My thoughts are with the families and friends of Nick. My deepest condolences.

Re: F-35 can't take the F-16 in a dog fight?
Those who know about the F-22 won't talk about it too much... And that's what peaks my curiousity. Is it not living up to expectations? Is it a shining star? Is it just a big secret? Plus it's irrelevant. As is this entire conversation and all of those preceding it. Though not fighters, the F-117 a...

Re: "Any conflicting traffic..." Is A Stupid Thing To Say
So there are different levels of how well the student achieved the Standard. Bear with me then, can't the same thing be applied to radio calls? I get that you work for the government where efficiency doesn't matter, but do all students make the standard? I'm starting to get the idea from your words...

I asked you to provide evidence that saying those 3 words lead to a mishap. I see you are unable to provide one. If no accidents were attributed to this directly or indirectly, maybe you are overthinking this.... Okay, so try it the other way around: Please provide evidence that using those five wo...

Re: "Any conflicting traffic..." Is A Stupid Thing To Say
The clear and concise transmission I am talking about has most certainly done more good than bad. Why? Not directly because I said conflicting, but because I said where I am headed and when I will be there. In a low level environment, whether they say conflicting or traffic + where I can talk to the...

Re: "Any conflicting traffic..." Is A Stupid Thing To Say
Why don't the lot of you write to Websters, Oxford, etc , to remove the word conflicting from the dictionary? You hate long verbose position reports. Stop trying to make a point for the sake of making a point. A word which directly implies: AC which might HIT ME , give me a shout on _____ so we can ...

Re: "Any conflicting traffic..." Is A Stupid Thing To Say
What is wrong with the following call on 126.7? when making a position report?... Traffic on 26.7 this is Piper Navajo GABC, currently on the descent out of 6500 for 3000...30 north of Mukluk Sk, estimating the field in x minutes. Conflicting, 26.7/22.8 ABC. (Notice I said estimating the field, not...

Re: Patent for new airline seating plan sits you face-to-fac
Do you see a wee difference between a 45 minute commuter train ride and a 15 hour flight to Hong Kong? Toronto - Ottawa flight 1 hour I'd stand, who cares. It's the long flights that kill you, the worse they make the seating. Of course.. done that exact flight and many more like it. I don't see the...

Re: F-35 can't take the F-16 in a dog fight?
Can you explain to me why any Canadian, other than Mulcair and Trudeau of course, would want public works deciding what fighter CF personnel will fly into combat? It's a government purchase not a military one, therefore government finance departments are involved. That's what happens in a democracy...
