Re: YLW closure
SKL call letters were once Skyward Aviation call letters out of Thompson MB. They used to have Citations some of the owners were part of Skylink (I believe) and Skyward is now Skycare out of a place near Red Lake Ontario same owners. Wouldn't mind having a update on all of this, it has been a while....

Re: How bad is Thompson Manitoba?
Thompson, ah lived there forr 25 years, it is like most northerly place, cold, expensive and no real good road out. But a time for building a great life, great friendships, and there is a lot of serious and fun things. Yes there are problems-many-but, if you can work past them and look at it from th...

As far as I am aware--Labour Canada exercises their rights first, then if the judgement is for FPB and the other two owners, the ex-employees should meet with a lawyer and pursue other options should there be any available at that time. Labour Canada (Faye Lawson) AT 1-204-983-4269 may be able to br...

Hi Just an update--anyone who hasn't received their T4 slips from Skyward Aviation should talk to the receivers Deloitte and Touche in Winnipeg, ask to speak to Brent Warga--the T4's were run on the last day employees worked and given to Deloitte and Touche--I know this from asking for mine from Mer...

Read the idea for this thread--it is to give Skyward ex-employees a place to search for help--it looks like some 6th graders have figured out how to get on this site. 1. some companies pay $10,000 per shot for their pilots to train in the US-I can see why a Company wants a training bond--that is not...

Hats off to all who tried to hold everything together in the final days at Skyward Aviation. The biggest question I have is "how did a company go nine weeks and still not have a plane ready to present to TC? Maybe, just maybe--there is some thought by the owners to try and set up something out of YW...

Just happen to hear about this via the media--Skyward started to slide a couple of years ago--they should have taken a good look at things/employees--FB changed around that time--he seemed to start listening less to the "hands on people and hearing his "upper management" only--I truly feel sorry for...
