Re: Stand-By Travel while Furloughed

As a goodwill gesture, between YYZ YYC YEG and YVR you can use the reciprocal J/S on Flair.

RAIC.... OR....Pilot’s licence and a copy of the furlough/lay off notification...... and other airline ID (if available).

Personal travel only and not for deadheading or for any other business purposes.

The only practical option is for WJ to close Encore and place the Q400's into the WJ fleet.

+ve news nevertheless is AC will be using the Emergency Wage Subsidy Program to rehire all laid off staff. I’d say that’s a win.

Re: Approach ban

Bingo!

Weird but true. LPV is a non precision IAP, so 50% of advisory vis, whereas an ILS is a precision approach and limited by %75 of advisory vis.
Unless the runway has centreline lighting, then 50% advisory vis as well for the ILS. But you’re right, without it, it’s 75%.

Well, in this particular case you’d be pretty wrong  Flair owns their entire 737-400 fleet. Times and alliances have changed Marcus.

Re: Flairs troubles......

KF is throwing a petulant hissy fit and the fact they were ordered to pay Flair's court costs for wasting it's time, leads me to think the Kelowna crowd found a bored local reporter from where....Penticton was it?....to engineer a little smear job. There's a bit more to this that's not reported. Not...

Just wondering when this 60% class component of Express candidates for AC PIT course takes effect? The July 22nd class was all OTS, so clearly not yet. Just curious. Thanks.

You're correct.....but only in Canada. The FAA issues a blanket B737 type that covers the B737 (200 to 900 to MAX)
