Re: Multi Engine-Piston PIC

Let me clear something up from my last post. 1500 TT flying operationally is good time and an employer would have no problem moving someone to a Navajo captain seat with that kind of time. What I am trying to say is the employer doesn’t know you, they only have a snap shot from an interview and refe...

Re: Whats the best way to hand in a resume?

Best way to get an interview is from internal recommends to the CP from his or her pilots. HR department or not, hand delivered resumes from internal pilots to the chief pilot.

Once that's done, the rest is up to you in the interview process.

Re: Multi Engine-Piston PIC

It is hard for an employer to hire you as a direct entry captain when you haven't been a captain before. I highly recommend you take a co pilot job, be patient and prove yourself to your employer. If your work ethic and skill are to that company’s standard then you make your move to an entry level C...

I can say with the utmost confidence that you require an internal reference to get looked at. Someone with all contrail met except total time is a perfect start to having your resume looked at.

Re: Kirby Lake Crash Oct 25th

Just found out who it was this afternoon. Great guy, he was just finishing when I was starting flight training. I remember when he got the call from borek. I can't believe how much it changes your perspective when you know the person involved.

My better half is an F/A for an airline and we've had countless discussions on this topic (overweight FAs) because she works with them all of the time. What it comes down to is... If an FA can't easily fit down the aisle (and in an emergency situation they may even have to RUN) and they have to get ...

Fair enough...there are enough of us fat pilots around... But: - pilots aren't the ones walking up and down the aisles (or having to RUN in the case of an emergency) bumping into passengers - pilots aren't the ones huffing and puffing and sweating their butts off just to engage/disengage a slide! I ...

Whats wrong with WestJet?

What is up with westjet hiring overweight flight attendants? Flight attendants are supposed to be able to walk comfortably down the aisle. Not shimmying through and bumping people. I know that some may be offended by this topic but take a look around next time you fly with them. The person who can't...

best birthday present ever. March 11th. Westjet and AC boomed after that. Was good for the industry. Goes to show that you can't fly across the country for a buck  no offense, but that is what you get when you out of pocket your training. Hope all involved learned there lesson. Anyway, it alwa...

Thank god we live in a democratic society where we have choices, and now it's time for people to make the right choice when flying. I, for one, will not be supporting (flying with) Jazz and their decision to hire F/Os direct out of flight school, nor will my friends and family. It's been said over a...

all the bitching from everyone aside I recommend that you put the money that you are going to spend on a twin and put it all towards flying as much as you can in something as cheap as possible. PIC in general is everything and you would be better off with 150 hours of extra PIC then 50 hours of mult...
