Re: Georgian Upgrades

@OP I appreciate you saying that you did not come here to bash, however, I think you can see why a few of us may be frustrated with the way conversation has been going in this thread. Your initial inquiry was: So I'm hearing Georgian is now upgrading their inexperienced cadets to Captain at only 150...

Re: White only companies?

I urge you to reconsider your stance of, "White male privilege does not exist", even for a few moments. Claim: 9/10 Workplace Deaths Yes, over 90% of workplace deaths are male workers. However, what causes the discrepancy in deaths? The answer is “occupational segregation” – the most hazardous jobs ...

Re: White only companies?

You're still way ahead of the game, let this one go. Thank you for this, ahramin. Cisgender heterosexual caucasian men sometimes have difficulty accepting their own privilege and tend to mistake "equality" with "equity". Considering how we treat First Nations people a line at the bottom of a job po...

Re: Air Georgian

How have I ruined my chances? I'm asking questions as to why with my time on BE20 isn't good enough for airline. Wish airlines would post what exactly they want new hires to have. I meet all posted requirements. I clearly explained above how you are hurting yourself. Did you read my post at all, or...

Re: Air Georgian

I fairly certain the airlines aren't looking on "hire me". That is incredibly naive of you. If you have been experiencing difficulty finding a job up to this point, I can guarantee you just blacklisted yourself everywhere else. Why? 1. You are entitled. I'm sure I'm well qualified for that position...

Suggestion: Job Ads Subforums

Would it be possible to add subforums to the job ads to make it a tad easier to navigate?

Perhaps:
Main Forum: Aviation Job Ads
Subforum: Maintenance Jobs
Subforum: Flight Ops Jobs

Just an idea!

Re: Foreign Licence validations in Canada and elsewhere

Curiously, the CARs adopt the definition of "Canadian" from 55(1) of the Canada Transportation Act, which says: “Canadian” means a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident within the meaning of subsection 2(1) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act... So I think Giles can adopt that definiti...

It's illegal to ask if someone's a citizen in an interview.

Not hiring a qualified individual because they are an immigrant is:
- Illegal
- Discriminatory
- Just wrong

Re: May 1 startup day Air Georgian

Just trying to evade detection. Securities laws force an element of disclosure. You're right, they did rebrand to "R1 Airlines." Those two words are different than "Regional One". Different names, different websites, different HQs, different contact information, different parent companies and diffe...

Looks like R1 is getting 12 crj700's. http://www.newswire.ca/en/story/1431176/exchange-income-corporation-announces-regional-one-crj700-fleet-purchase-with-lufthansa-cityline If you read the press release this isn't R1 Airlines. A company can only refuse to provide a lettre of recommandation, but not talk negative about an employee. Unfortunately, this isn't so. :( As long as whatever you're saying is true, "bad" references are completely legal. While most companies do have corporate policies in place where they'll only co...

This is nothing more than an ad for AviationCV.com, I wouldn't analyze it any further than that.

Facebook has over 1 billion users - including 40% of all Americans - and has been operating for almost a decade now. That is not a fad. I would not put Facebook on the same level as "The Macarena".
