Re: nav Canada collection
Well, it's official. After explaining to Navcan that my aircraft was out of service for two years (and sent support docs) they sent me to collections lol. I owe something like $300 ($72+ interest) what a joke. They can f%#k off as far as I'm concerned. Unaccountable POS's!

Depends. The new POR requires a Chief Pilot,Ops Manager, and a PRM. All can be the same person if they qualify under the current regulations.

Re: Nav Can GFA's --
How dare you question Nav Can. Pay your expensive fees and shut up. They would just be happy to collect their fees and not evolve at all. They don't even have a wx app, website has been the same for a decade, and if you live in Southern Ontario and use GFA's just throw a lawn dart in the air and see...

Re: Private Operator (604)?
I may be incorrect, but I think it's anyone who wants to operate an aircraft that's over 12,500 lbs or turbine powered for their company that needs to have an operators certificate, and that's where the Private Operator Certificate comes in. The alternative would be an air operators certificate, th...

Charter op requirements into the US
Looking for info on operating under 703 or 704 charters into the US from Canada with a Canadian registered aircraft. Do you need FAA authorization? What does that process entail? Looked all over and can't find my info.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Been out of the GPS panel mount game for a while. Been using FMS the last few years. Anyone know if there is a holding pattern page or setup to couple to the autopilot or is the obs the only way to get a visual?

Re: Wind turbines around airports
Aeroplane17 you are contradicting your earlier statement "UG doesn't know the dangers as Chartright doesn't want to rock the boat so they don't stop operating out of Chatham." however you say "Yes, Spectra energy owns those aircraft and refuses to land in Chatham at night or in IMC because of the w...

Re: Wind turbines around airports
I believe we own the J31 aircraft and handed off daily babysitting to a mgmt company in Canada No you don't, Chartright owns and operates it. We own and operate a Hawker 4000 and Hawker 900XP in Houston as well as some single engine pipeline patrol aircraft. Yes the corporation lives and breathes S...

Re: Wind turbines around airports
Has MOT had to deal with obstacles before @ Chatham? Does UG own and operate a J31 or Avanti there? J31 is owned by Chartright under contract to UG. UG doesn't know the dangers as Chartright doesn't want to rock the boat so they don't stop operating out of Chatham. UG is huge on safety in every asp...

I wonder who these "Aeronautic Consultants" are? the damn windmills are in the circuit at Chatham. Use your effing heads. Common sense should prevail in this situation. There's no official law on these wind turbines around airports because they didn't think anyone would be stupid enough to surround ...

King Air type ratings under POC
G'day,
Curious question- if I want to fly a King Air 200 or 90 under a private operators certificate do I need a full ride with a TC inspector, type rating, etc. Say you get a full course/ sim in the states?
Thx.

Remember the dark ages when Harris was in power? You know back when Ontario was a "have province" with no deficits, low unemployment, low taxes and reasonable electricity prices. For you it may mean having to get an MSA, Ops Specs, an Ops Manual, SOP's, and even SMS. You got it. All of the above. The best part is in the gazette TC explains they had a "focus group" that suggested some very good/ practical ideas. Then they go on to explain that they basically ignored everythi...

I believe that's called "Quality Assurance". Oh i'm sure they have a whole team of "Quality Assurance Specialists" causal factors of their past "errors." I'm pretty sure "Aerodrome Compliance" and "Pilot's records" would fall under the least of their past errors don't ya think? The boys (and gals) ...
