Steady. How do you feel about people who crash cars and trucks to make videos and movies? Any idea how many vehicles get intentionally wrecked, crashed, destroyed, detonated for each new Bond movie? Haven’t you enjoyed Top Gear flinging old cars and caravans down mountainsides and into quarries? Ne...

I’d like to add my congratulations to the Jazz pilot group for your individual bid awards, but most of all for your success thus far in navigating the severe turbulence created by the global pandemic. Very tough times for sure! Once again in trying circumstances the Jazz group is the industry leader...

There is definitely reason for optimism. Anecdotally I have had the “pleasure” of deadheading a fair amount this year, passing through EWR, ORD and CLT. From what I’ve seen, it has been business as usual in the US all spring for the airlines. Airports and flights are packed. Corporate ramps are busy...

Re: V1 in small twins
It has been my experience that people get themselves into trouble with directional control with an engine failure at V1 in the simulator (assuming V1=Vr which is at least 95% of the time in our operation) from using too high a rotation rate and also trying to use ailerons to help control the resulta...

A few years ago I started with a goal of working for a big airline in a few years, I was in my mid 20's and didn't have to money to commit to flying so I just studied theory and saved up for the flying. 4 years later I've been flying as much as I can but due to weather and how busy schools have bee...

Re: V1 in small twins
I think it would be better if pilots only used the term V1 for aircraft that actually have a published V1 speed(s). Otherwise, it can cause great confusion for newer pilots just learning about this stuff. AGREED. How can you have a takeoff decision speed in an airplane that doesn’t have to guarante...

How do we also know the plane didn't roll 200 feet with the pilot not noticing, head down, before hitting the other aircraft? And if it was only 10 feet, why is the head down at all, before first moving to a place well clear of aircraft and people? Maybe not using a parking brake isn't the issue. M...
