Re: Metro 3 ( dangerous as they say it is )

I was around for that one. The engine didnt fail, it was listed on the ferry permit with some sort of issue and it was unexpectedly losing oil pressure on the way to yth. The pilot was in a conundrum because they were forbidden to raise the gear because of the ferry permit restriction but they knew ...

Re: Metro 3 ( dangerous as they say it is )

I was trolling there. I was around when Skyward packed it in and I heard all the rumours. We took some of their people actually. One of which later became the CP. I see that Skycare is always looking for people it seems. Maybe every outfit is looking for people these days I dont know. I had the oppo...

Re: Metro 3 ( dangerous as they say it is )

What are the latest write-offs of Metro's lately? I am way out of the loop so fill me in please. I don't have any ties there and I get no news. Do tell.

Re: Metro 3 ( dangerous as they say it is )

I think that the start lock system is really the only way to run a fixed shaft turboprop but my experience is limited. You arent wrong about complexity but simply having the complexity of retractable landing gear has caused innumerable incidents and cost. In your line of thinking I can say that the ...

Re: Metro 3 ( dangerous as they say it is )

There are legions of Metro pilots in this country that have their own story about their time on this plane. If you go to the Sunwest or Perimeter school of Metro, you should receive a good solid education on the plane. I can’t speak to the other operators in this land. The best pilot I ever was was ...

Re: SkyMed - CBC

You cant tell? I love it. A deaf pilot, downs syndrome AME. I'm pretty sure a paraplegic person can handle a V1 cut. Why did they leave them out? Not very inclusive. The CBC is checking all the boxes. Justin is very very happy. Another 1.6 billion on the way!

Re: SkyMed - CBC

All of that may be true but when brilliant people in the entertainment industry put their minds to realism great things can happen. A show on medevac ought to be a movie and not a series. A series demands drama every episode and there just isn't. Unless she wants to bring in aviation management pres...

Re: SkyMed - CBC

Im hoping Canada's favourite drama teacher and french camp lover Captain Justin Trudeau makes an appearance in Skymed. He can dress up in the hat, bars and overcoat and sling that King Air around the sky like nobodies business. After all he does own the CBC and we do love him. Maybe he can whip out ...

Re: SkyMed - CBC

Im going to look forward to shitting all over this blight on storytelling. Coming in hot? What does that mean? In all my time I have never said that. Does it mean Im fast or the egt is hot? Its going to be a delicious destruction of what the Canadian broadcorping casteration thinks medevac is and ho...

Re: Bill Wehrle passed away

I should have added a comment years ago. Bill taught my late father to fly. I have Dads logbook as a keepsake and in it are rows and rows of WH Wehrle. Many years later Dad would die while his son was still in the employ of the company Bill started. I was there when it changed hands from family run ...

Re: Perimeter Aviation. October 11th, 2001

I too have not forgotten. I have not forgotten the lessons learned. I have not forgotten the time at the model field with Will. I have not forgotten standing at the crash sight standing in silence staring at the swath cut by wings I am very familiar with. I kept their crash alive by telling others a...
