Re: Canadian sources for interior plastics
Vantage Plane Plastics, they are in Oklahoma, but they make it all. I believe Kadex can get it in for you if you don't want to deal with customs yourself

Re: DH4 Better do a final door check yourself
There is a Service Bulletin out to rework the door handle that gives you a more visual indication that the handle is properly and fully locked and stowed, and a positive latch engagement. I'm curious if any handles that have been modified have popped open in flight

Re: How are those PA-31 Cowls
There is an AD on the nose baggage door that if I remember right, the lock has to be replaced every 1000 hours and the new locks, you can't remove the key unless its locked. There is also a 100 hour repetitive inspection component to the AD.

Re: WestJet introduces WestJet Link
I really don't see what the big issue here is. These are destinations that are too small for Encore to fly the Q to, and I assume since Prince George was served by 737 in the past, if they thought they could fill even a Q there from Calgary, it would be Encore as well. It is bringing more guests in ...

Whelan lights are STC'd for most common GA aircraft already. They fit right in to the current installation. Only thing to remember is they are polarity sensitive

Re: Passport question re: travel to UK
So just when I thought I had this whole passport dilemma figured out, I was speaking with someone at the Canadian Passport Office who advised me that my son's current passport would get him into the UK no problem since it would be valid during the length of his stay (3 weeks) but coming back INTO C...

Re: LFTMOO - 2011 CASA 212 Fuel Starvation
Even if they had noticed the low fuel level light - opening the crossflow would have done nothing. The collector tank was empty due to fod in the jet pump. they were hooped. The fuel schematic in the report shows the crossfeed is downstream of the collector tanks. The left collector tank was empty....

Re: Boeing 777 Endorsement Course
What is up lately with all those AME's looking to go on endorsement courses? Why would anyone pay for these out of their own pocket, let your employer send you and pay. This is no better than pilots paying for their own training. Is that really the road we AME's want to go down?

You wouldn't have to. Whichever occurs first would reset the clock for both.Wacko wrote: Ultimately I can't see them ripping off the cowling to check the electrolyte levels only to re-open the cowling 3 days later to do a 50 hour inspection?

I did it about 2 months ago in Ottawa, it only took about 3 weeks or so. Not sure if it makes any difference for new or renewal though, mine was renewal.

Re: Compressor wash Caravan question?
Anyway, a couple more questions about it... we used to do it through one of the ignitor ports, but at my new company, we have a fitting that the water pump just attaches to. Is either more effective than the other? Is this even the same thing? Remember guys/girls, I'm just a pilot, so don't be too ...
