Re: The Air Canada OTS thread
TrashHawler, Did you receive an email at any point from AC HR stating that all pilot vacancies are full, We do anticipate continuing to hire throughout the fall and 2018, and as such, we hope to be able to proceed with your file in the future. Until that time, your application will be put on hold. Y...

Re: PML 2.0
What we know so far is that AC has planned a GS in July, September, October and November. No GS in December. Also, AC is finalising a second GS in October which will lead to 5 by end of year of 20 each. 270 Jazz Pilots on the FPML and they are planning on taking 12 FPML per GS, however, this will be...

Any ice accumulation beyond the protected surfaces of the wing is severe icing. I feel sometimes we are to generous or under-report in our PIREPS.

Re: ATPL Processing Times
I used the Toronto Younge Street office for mine back in the fall of last year and my ATPL was signed off in 4 days. Everything was in order, mailed my logbooks in and back. Sticker came shortly after. Just as the previous post, no issues with the Toronto Office!

Re: Multi PIC
I agree with all the above posts, and to add, some aviation companies require 500 MPIC for their pilots to do certain contracts. In Ontario the MNR and the MOH have certain MPIC requirements for Captains to operate on the contract. Even a 337 with Discovery Air on their posts says 1000 Hours Total a...

Jazz, Porter and WJ Encore are hiring right now.
Jazz has a ground school in May
Porter has 1 or 2 ground schools in May (10 people each)
WJ Encore is hiring, a friend of mine has an interview there this week.

Re: Pearson UPX Train Service
Interesting because to take a taxi from YYZ to Union Station would be a lot more than $27.50 especially during airport operating hours that fall within Toronto traffic rush hour. Where the Gardner "Express Way" goes narrows to 2 lanes is always plugged no matter what time of day.Yet the secret is on...

Re: Ornge FO Schedule
The schedule is 4 on 4 off, and depending on which base you want/get, it could be a combination of 4 days 4 off 4 nights 4 off or 2 days, 2 nights 4 off. Each shift is 12 hours long, Day Shifts are 7AM-7PM and Night Shifts are 7PM-7AM. You need to be at work for the full 12 hours even if there are n...

Just wondering since LPV approaches are WAAS enabled and not Baro, do IFR pilots need to add cold wx corrections to LPV specific minimums?

What does the Hicks and Lawrence pay their 337 pilots these days to do fire patrol? That I know they pay for housing, if we can get an accurate number it would be comparable, minus the expensive food prices and General living in the north.
