Re: Transat AT seeking additional government funding after reporting $114.3M Q1 loss
Transat is a great company/airline. Hope onex makes an offer them. They’d instantly have a domestic/international airline with the largest vacation company in Canada. Hooked in with TUI. I’m not arrogant enough to tell the TS pilots they should be bottom of any list. I hated saying elite on the radi...

Looks like we’re joining the race to find pilots. Should be around 100.
Good news you might get a WJ number and as a new hire you’ll get called for overtime first. A world first!

Lol no. Sunwing is much larger then I’m sure your aware. And some are still working.
As to rudders point, yes we need to be training for the inevitable and yes several trainers are now flying for Flair and Cargojet. This winter is going to be busy.

Haironfire. Mark W was a skyservice employee until he brokered a deal for Skyservice to do sunwing flying on the 1 757 you speak of. RG wasn’t happy. He knew what was about to happen. How was sunwing a bottom feeder? The reason sky no longer exists the model doesn’t work. To many hands in one basket...

Stereotyping statistics? How old are you Rockie? Clearly from your posts your terrified of Covid. Is it my responsibility to keep you safe? Is it your responsibility? Is it the governments? Are your underlying health conditions (if you have any)my responsibility? Yours? Governments? I’m not young bu...

Post your age groups. I bet the restrictions group are old. The against group are young.
PS your not changing anyone’s minds. The old are fearful of death. The young don’t care. Stats prove both correct.

You act as if the sell the kitchen sink conservatives are any better. I hate trudeau but the cons decisions in the past have royally fucked us as well in this pandemic.

Re: Sunwing Airlines Gets $375 Million LEEFF Loan to Protect Canadian Jobs
Sunwing tour group is 49% owned by TUI. Vacation express is owned by Sunwing. Blue diamond hotels is also separate. I’m not sure what % TUI has of the hotels. The hotels were the largest liability until the fall when they started reopening. Now they’re the largest asset. The hotels are full of Ameri...

Another old (chance of dying) vs young (zero chance of dying) Covid thread? Both sides saying science is on their side?
Before anyone else posts maybe you should post your age, BMI, ethnicity and overall medical condition. I bet I know what side your on.

Not a lot of tourists going to Haiti Rockie. Have you flown in there? Just more ineptness by our grand leaders. Wait and see how fast Covid clears up in the UK and the USA. You’ll wish within a month you lived in either. Your free to keep listening to the health care professionals at Public Health. ...

Airline will be concentrating on a proper measured start up. Possibly summer flying in Europe. The hotels, where the money is made is already in full swing. Canadians might not be traveling but lots of other countries are.

I hate the term “not for profit”. If anyone would like a not for profit to become efficient it needs to be for profit. Shareholders are a fickle bunch not easily blinded by bullshit.

Is it possible to be a conservative liberal and despise our current leadership or lack of. Isn’t calling someone “Brown” or referring to them as “ Brown” racist? You can't be a conservative Liberal today with the rampant dogma and groupthink running in that party. You can be a Red Tory though. Inte...

If the government won’t listen maybe we as a group should make them listen. Everyone stop flying. Shut it all down. See what the politicians think when they have to ride the bus.

That’s ironic. I know a lot of controllers who never made it as pilots. In fact most.
