Re: EXPECTED NUMBER OF RETIREES AT AC.

I've heard the Jan 2024 seniority list will only show a change, on average, of 88 numbers.

Re: Upgrade Times and current pool of eligible FOs

Current failure rates on the Command Sims are 80% - due in no small part to the relative lack of experience of the people attempting the upgrade.

Re: Commute YYC-YYZ/YVR

Very doable. YYC is the largest commuter base in the mainline system by a long shot so I wouldn't sweat it. Lots of people do it. Just plan your travel to give yourself 2-3 flights and also you have WJA if you need.

Re: Long term commuters

16 days is max on the narrowbody (320 with 737 to come this fall). Even as a junior blockholder there are still lots of YYC layovers so you can probably count on a few YYC layovers mid-pairing during the month to offset the 16 days. There is no days worked limit on the WB but another option is 787 R...

Re: Long term commuters

There are close to 300 commuters that live in/around YYC - split between YVR and YYZ so you won't be alone. YVR is easy (for the most part) because we run almost hourly plus you'll have access to the jumpseats (FD and FA) during busy times. 1 hour flight plus you gain an hour. Even junior (except be...

Thank you so much for the PM. I've tried to PM you back with some more questions but I'm not having success getting it out of my outbox. If in the next few days you don't see my response, please let me know.

Re: Superior Airways

Are you aware of a fatal accident on October 31st, 1971 that happened in/around this area? Been trying to find out information on it and I've heard some talk that the operator was either "Severn Airways" or in/around that part of the world - Severn Lake etc but I can't be sure. Pilot and passengers ...

Re: Halifax crash report coming Thursday

The ONLY reason GPS is being put in the baby Bus is because of Halifax. It's all about the cash - no problem outfitting the fleet with gogo wifi because it'll be another source of ancillary revenue, but spend money on safety?? C'mon, we all know where the priority lies.......

There will be a great deal of poaching happening soon. Are you speaking of the rumour of ACPA proposing to the Company that they offer signing bonuses to WJA (or SW/AT) pilots who are typed on the 737 so it fast tracks the entry of the MAX at Mainline next year? This comment speaks to a complete la...

Re: Citation down North of Kelowna

Can some one clarify for me if the pilot was a retired RCMP Air Services Pilot, or an RCMP Officer who also happened to fly? The reports make it seem like he was a pilot on the side (not air services) and that he took on "commercial" flying after he retired - but it's not clear. Looking for clarific...

So loss after loss after loss, including now from the SCC who has said it won't even hear the case (plus costs to AC/ACPA), and you're thinking it's not over. You're starting to sound like the Air Ontario gang.

Let it go Elsa, let it go.

Re: EU Court of Justice Ends Age 60 at European Airlines

This is where you keep getting it wrong - it's was and is a negotiated retirement age, not a mandatory one. But really - I know you only see things for the way you want to see them, but no one forced it on us - it's negotiated. Besides, don't you have other things to worry about? You've lost the las...
