Re: Some info on CMA
I chuckle at how many first time posters there are in this thread (including the OP). I'm lovin' the political answers. If he's truly not in Management or HR, he should be... :) Q: What do you pay? A: For you guys looking to come in dct entry on our 705 machine, it's highly likely you'll exceed 777...

Re: Some info on CMA
You've got a way with words cHange- I'm by no means saying that CMA is a perfect place to work, but I want people to have up-to-date information about CMA practices/policies. That's the whole intent about this thread. Give people an update on what's actually going on here at CMA. Integrity needs to...

Re: re: some info on cma
Don't shoot the messenger I hope you can maintain this integrity along with the rest of us over at the other thread where I'm the messenger of the positive change that has come and is coming. With all do respect xsbanks, none of the people who are posting negativity about CMA work here anymore. And...

Re: Some info on CMA
As any successful company knows, it takes years of hard work to build up a good reputation and that can be lost in an instance, then it takes years of hard work to get it back. Its also way easier to keep a happy customer than to get a new one or get one you pissed off, back. Blowing smoke is point...

Re: Some info on CMA
Where should I begin? The aviation community is small, so I may seem vague, yet try to describe my and some other fantastically epic stories that would contradict most laws from labour Canada, as clear as possible. My goal is not to sewer the man at the top of the CMA food chain (even though, he ha...

Re: Some info on CMA
Your sources are forgetting to tell you how much they make flying charters every year. Its hard to break a reputation but speculation on these boards will not answer your questions. Feel free to apply and learn quickly how your pay adds up. I'll tell you right from the get go that 31k is not what w...

Re: Some info on CMA
from my sources an FO (year one) will not make 40-50 at CMA not net, not gross not even if you include per diems. Apples to apples NCA pays their BE02 Capts about 10g more per year (again year 1) :smt014 Your sources are forgetting to tell you how much they make flying charters every year. Its hard...

Re: Some info on CMA
What type of flying does the 705 operation do ? And where do they run, Alberta and/or BC elsewhere's? Is it rig crew change work, or strictly sked stuff, and is it all based out of YYC or ? Tx for response. The dash 8 does both scheduled air service and charters. Mainly charters on the Dash 8. And ...

Re: Some info on CMA
Not only positive changes for pilots but for maintenance as well. Payscale has increased to above industry standard in recent years to help retain AME's. Plenty of type courses and training invested as well. Great bunch of guys to work with and its hard to find a place that can top this gig. This p...

Hehe, yes it's a slow but sure progress. We have a few paint jobs this year on our 1900's. It's hard to take a plane offline with all of them flying so much.

Re: Some info on CMA
+cHange, I thank you for your post and series of replies. There is no question that CMA has carried a reputation for having tough schedules and a week pay structure. That being said, I don't think that is uncommon of most middle size 704/705 operators at some point in their respective business life...

Re: Some info on CMA
Well, A Skipper at Porter starts at $77,749 so if you are paying more than that to start on the Classic, then I would say that's fair. As for retention, IMHO, companies need to be around $90,000 a year minimum and a darn good schedule before they can realistically expect people to hang their hats f...

Re: Some info on CMA
I'm not in a position to comment on the exact salaries. Do you work for the company? Are you HR? Why can you not post the salaries that you seem to believe are 'Above' standards?? The secrecy around salaries is quite unnecessary in a program where you are on a pay scale, unless the company is embar...

- F/O salaries are now competitively higher than industry standard. Care to post what it is? When I was an F/O on a BE20/30/3B I was guaranteed 40k a year, but seemed to work out to about 50k.... I was also home virtually every day, live in a city I loved and had a wealth of benefits to go with the...
