Re: Any US Visa success stories?
Remember the EB2 NIW visa is lottery based, the more experience and qualifications you have from the list of required qualifications, the higher chance of approval. You must meet 3 of the required qualifications. Thousands of hours of PIC Airline time is highly favourable, a few thousand of right se...

CANADA to USA - VISA's, Work Permits & Finding Work
There has been much interest and conversation regarding Canadian's relocating and working in the United States. I though it would be a good idea to start a thread dedicated to this topic and we can share our personal experience. Available USA visa options for flight crew include EB2 NIW, O-1, TN, et...

Re: Convert Canadian ATPL to FAA
160k is relatively low for a flying job in America. Definitely better places to hang your hat I'll stick with the heavy biz jets making 250K+ Fraction flying schedules are a nightmare, flying multiple legs daily with not so great short layovers is not my idea of a good time. Pay me well and let me ...

Re: Convert Canadian ATPL to FAA
If you are married, Check to see if your wife has a job that is easier to sponsor. If you aren't married, marry a RN. Quite possibly the easiest realtively common career to get a Green Card for, only half joking..... Not a bad idea, but keep in mind some spousal visa's do not allow the spouse to be...

Re: $100K Signing Bonus - Hiring Pilots
Challenger JetProcess sounds similar to a cross of TN1 and EB2 NIW with an interview. I’ve been watching closely the EB2 process for AC pilots as I’ve held FAA ATP rating since 2001 and have flown both 135 and 91 in the US. What Bizjet are you on?

Re: $100K Signing Bonus - Hiring Pilots
Quick note for those looking to head to the US, upgrading to Captain at a regional or airline (Part 121 operator) needs a certain amount of Part 121 (or PIC in Part 91 or 135 - General/Charter aviation). This NEEDS to be time acquired on US registered aircraft. So even if you have x thousands of ho...

Re: $100K Signing Bonus - Hiring Pilots
Curious about your residency/citizenship, experience level, how you went about the process (through a lawyer, employment agency etc) and who you are flying for. If you're willing to share, I think there is a lot of interested people. Thanks I can share I am a Canadian Citizen / Resident who has bee...

Re: Convert Canadian ATPL to FAA
How many of you guys managed to get a job at an airline over there considering that you're still canadian and not an American citizen yet I was hired and sponsored by an America business jet operator. The licence conversion took a few weeks, and the O-1 work visa takes 15 days for approval if your ...

Re: Convert Canadian ATPL to FAA
Absolutely the first I've heard of this... Your regular line pilot isn't going to qualify - but this is an alternate doorway. Did you or did your emoloyer organize the lawyer and paoerwork for this visa? As I was sponsored by my employer, they provided, paid for and retain their own immigration law...

Re: Convert Canadian ATPL to FAA
I just converted my Canadian CPL to FAA ATP.
Tired of waiting for TC to review logbooks/send ATPL sticker … taking wayyyy too long. TC is soooo extremely slow.
The entire process in USA is fast and efficient.

I pay my FO's 80K on a similar jet. Surprised their rates are so low - especially for YVR.

Re: Fox Flight Inc
This is all correct 35k fixed bond for 2 years. Probably the worst bond arrangement in the industry, besides paying Up front. Highly recommended if you apply you do not sign this crazy agreement - somewhat of an insult to pilots this day in age... FO Pay is 55k and you fly a crap ton. Close to 800 -...
