Wanted - Airline Seats For Sale

Hey, I am looking for a row of 2 or 3 seats out of any commercial sized aircraft for a shop project. Type of aircraft does matter.

Preferably in the Calgary area to reduce shipping expenses.

Thanks

Re: ADS-B Weather vs XM Weather Canada

Thank you for the info Looks like if I really want weather I am going to have to bite the bullet and get an xm weather subscription. Now I just need to figure out what I am going to do to meet the requirements to meet the USA ADS-B mandate. I have a Garmin GTX330 transponder. I can upgrade it to the...

ADS-B Weather vs XM Weather Canada

Good Morning, Just looking at possibly getting some weather options on foreflight for flying in Canada. I am having troubles finding ADS-B weather coverage information for Canada. I think XM weather would work well but it is fairly expensive for the private pilot. So what is everyone using for weath...

Re: Life Insurance For Private Pilot

I have a private pilot fixed wing and commercial helicopter.

Only need coverage for the fixed wing as I don't fly helicopters anymore.

Life Insurance For Private Pilot

Good Morning

With a change in my family situation coming soon I believe it is time for a life insurance policy that covers me for general aviation.

My current policy has an exclusion for recreational flying.

Does anyone have any good recommendations for companies?

Thanks

GEM 602 Engine Monitor Upgrade

Hey Guys,

I am thinking about upgrading my GEM 602 Engine Monitor to the G2.

Just wondering what your thoughts are on this?

I think it would be very helpful to be able to trend all my temperatures after each flight.

Also, what is the approximate labor time to complete this upgrade?

Thanks

Re: Ferry Pilot Inquiry

I am very happy to say my "New To Me" plane arrived later last week.

I couldn't have found a better pilot to bring it across Canada.

So cheers for Av Canada in helping me find a ferry pilot.

Re: Ferry Pilot Inquiry

Great advice, Even if I did fulfill my hours on the cross country I would still get some extra training from a guy at home. Due to some life events, I will need to have the airplane delivered a little bit sooner then spring/summer. Hence why it will probably just be a ferry pilot that brings it out ...

Re: Ferry Pilot Inquiry

I do have Eapis, I didn't even look at the option. Definetly something to consider.

As for insurance, they would like me to get 10 hours dual.

Re: Ferry Pilot Inquiry

I thought with the piper having the constant speed prop and retractable landing gear a special type rating would be required.

As for the flight in January, it's a good chance I won't see the plane for some time haha.

You never know though, might get a couple days of clear weather

Re: Ferry Pilot Inquiry

Just an update. It is looking like the plane will be ready to move from Oshawa airport to Lethbridge Airport on Jan 19th or 20. So if anyone has a ferry pilot recommendation in the Toronto area that would be great. I am looking for someone that is type rated on the Piper Arrow. There is a small chan...

Re: Ferry Pilot Inquiry

I haven't ruled out flying it back myself, but with my work schedule it will make it a bit tough if I run into weather delays. As for vacation, I already have it booked for future flights this year, haha. That being said, if the stars aligned and I am able to get a couple clear days across Canada I ...

Re: Ferry Pilot Inquiry

Just to add more information.

I am currently just in the process of purchasing this aircraft.

So I may not actually need this service if the deal falls through.

So the intent of this thread is just to get some information in the chance that I will need it shortly.
