Is it slower in your school?
Hey everyone, Just looking to get other instructors feedback. It feels like I’ve done a lot less hours in September than I did last year same month for a similar weather, and generally speaking things are slower at the school/airport (that’s in BC). How do you find it? Seems like it was crazy after ...

Your bases should be more than covered.
I did everything using just nizus by really reading through the explanation and referencing to TC stuff when needed and it went really well. I also had a few questions along the way and their customer service was great, which nowadays ….

AIRAF class 4 written test feedback
Hi everyone! Just wrote the AIRAF yesterday and wanted to give some feedback here. https://i.ibb.co/dBJV4h2/IMG-3505.jpg I only used nizus for my practice exams and it was all I needed. Most of the exam's questions were in their database (not necessarily worded the same but the topic was covered). I...

Re: Recent IATRA exam?
Just want to get some opinions to make sure it's worth the $200 investment haha. I also didn’t want to pay too much and wrote mine using only nizus and did great. I think it was only 30 bucks or something like that. I just posted on another IATRA thread (IATRA 2019 it’s called), find this one becau...

Re: TCCA to FAA ccp exam
I did mine a few years back now (about 5 years) but used Dauntless back then and had a lot of my questions at the exam be almost verbatim what I practiced. It really focused on the differences in signage/rules/charts use in the two countries. The hardest of the whole process was dealing with the FAA...

Re: IATRA exam 2019
Hi all, Wrote my IATRA earlier this week and scored 89%. I wanted to come here to give a special thanks and shout out to @WhataYoke, @shamrock104, @Calrissian Everything you wrote down was relevant to the exam and super helpful. As far as prep I’ve only used nizus. I used them since the beginning of...

Glider TC exam (navigation)
Hi everyone, I am trying to get an idea of what to expect of the NAV section of the glider TC exam. Surely when it comes to gliders there has to be differences (although the study guide is very similar to the airplane one), just wondering if TC actually asks to plot a nav with no engine, or if they ...

Re: Nizus - ATPL Feedback
I have used nizus for my SARON and passed the exam at Transport. I've found it to be a great tool and very complete. I am currently studying for the SAMRA, will update after the exam.

Flight training - Permanent resident
Hi there, My question is not directly related to flight training but I couldn't find a better place for it in the forum. I'm looking for immigrants feedback. My question is the following: I will soon start my PR through express entry. I was wondering how CIC was looking at pilot licences for studies...

Re: IFR written test practice exams
Hey there!
A little feedback. IFR is done and passed
I was really happy using nizus, I don't know about the instructor one but the english of the IFR exams was good, really similar to TC.
I've seen on their facebook they are giving 30% discount at the moment. Worth to give a try guys.

IFR written test practice exams
Hello everyone :) Everything is in the title. I have to study for the IFR written test. I've been studying what's relevant in the AIM, regulations and CAP GEN and feel like I have a good knowledge but I'd like to practice some sample exams before the D-DAY. My problem is that I'm moving quite a lot ...

Thank you gaamin for your answer. I think my english level doesn't help me to say what I really want to say. I've seen how you think I am and this is not what I want to say. I will answer to your points the best that I can. - realistic plan to achieve permanent residency? If you are absolutely certa...

Re: FLIGHT SCHOOL IN GREAT VANCOUVER AREA
Pacific Flying Club based out of Boundary Bay meets most of your criteria. I've contacted them yet by email and they answer this to me : "We do not offer employment at the end of your Instructor Rating. We only consider graduates that are citizens of Canada or have landed immigrant status." With th...

Re: FLIGHT SCHOOL IN GREAT VANCOUVER AREA
There are flight schools in France. They are more expensive than in Canada. There is less job in France than in Canada and above all, I did all my training in Canada, it will be expensive to do all my conversions. And I love Canada, I want to live in an english country to improve my english and Brit...

FLIGHT SCHOOL IN GREAT VANCOUVER AREA
Hi everybody ! First post here :) The question I have to ask have been answered many time for sure, but I need a recent update as the situation change fast. I'm a french (that's why my english is far from perfect :) ) CPL-IFR-ME pilot. I did all my training in Montreal, QC. As many people, I didn't ...
