The crew noticed the mistake, corrected it, landed safely, REPORTED IT THEMSELVES - and were promptly fired.

Is this the kind of industry you all want to work in??? So much for non-punitive safety reporting.

Reading the comments on this thread, in particular the ones that were removed, illustrates perfectly the reason why she likely chose to respond publically instead of “brushing it off”. I'm curious- what would a "competitive" salary be for a pilot who only flies 200 hours a year? Even with standby/on call pay...
