Re: Air Sprint Questions
Hi guys, Going through the handbook (which is great to see publicly), i was looking towards the benefit side of things. If I understand correct, on year 6, AS takes care of 100% of the cost of benefits for pilots, is that correct? Up to that point, guys pay a percentage? Does that percentage decreas...

Re: Air Canada Pool
I'm curious how this PML list working exactly, so forgive me for being ignorant.
From what I understand, having a number, or being on this list, more or less guarantee's you an interview with mainline, but is in no way a guarantee of a job offer. Am I correct in my understanding?

Re: Ornge hiring
My understanding is that its days. 4 days of days, 4 off, 4 nights, 4 off, repeat. 12 hour shifts. If the shift roles over the 12 hours its overtime, or the option to postpone/cancel the trip until the next crew starts depending on the nature of the call. This is all second hand information mind you.

Re: Pilatus PC-24
Haven't seen any real photo's of the cargo door. It was my understanding there would be an attempt to keep the same size from the PC12, as a sale's point on the 24. Were they able to make this happen?

Re: Affordabilty of Housing as a Pilot
Just because your going left seat, doesn't mean you should, unless you see yourself there for an extended period of time. Someone said it, a lot of home buying is pure emotion, not factual. Even if you buy a house, stay for 5 years, and then plan on selling, you aren't making any money (unless the m...

Re: Any ideas for winter job?
IFR is over rated unless that's all you want to do, full time year around. You'll have to start out somewhere as a co-joe getting paid less in a month than what you make a week spraying. After making a few spray paychecks already, I'm sure you wouldn't want to see a 1900 fo's one; it'd make you gigg...

Re: King Air 90 Training
If you're set on something reliable away from the piston engine, a TBM or a PC12 would be a great choice. They will haul 8 people and lots of fuel, with pilot oriented controls, single pilot (if you choose) to a lot of places. The cabin is larger than a 90, burns half the fuel, will likely have more...

Doesn't really mention anything about radio's, if either had any, and if so, what frequencies they were tuned to. It still amazes me, in this day and age, we are still able to fly aircraft completely nordo...

From the article and I quote More Calgarians would appreciate the piece, if they pulled over and visited it. “It is actually an awe-inspiring feat of engineering.” How the heck is it a piece of awe-inspiring engineering? Exactly how? The pyramids, the golden gate bridge, the titanic, heck, AIRPLANES...

He is the only pilot to ever land on runway 37... He once moved a stationary front.. Hijacker's squawk 7500 when he is on board.. He doesn't request clearance, merely states his intentions.. He never flies into headwinds, the wind is always running away from him.. When he flies, his altimeter settin...

NW Ontario. Pick an empty lake with a nice sandy beach, and setup shop. Somewhere between armstrong'ish area maybe. Hot humid summers, great fishing. Wouldn't be far for you to go either.

Re: Ontario Provincial Police Civilian Pilot Position
When did these positions become open to civilians? I was under the impression they were still reserved for OPP officer/operators only. Last I recall I've only seen officers driving OPD. When did this change?
