This site is hilarious. I've never seen so many un-confident people when it comes to doing interviews and exams and wanting to get a shortcut.
Just suck it up and be yourself. You don't think AC knows what goes on here and that the questions would be posted?
Good luck to all.

Re: Creating Jumpseat Agreements
Porter has an incredible jumpseat program which happens to be...FREE!! The rest of the industry should take note and follow their lead. RJS users are also treated very well during their stay onboard. A very pleasant expierence, used it often. Only catch is, contrary to the AC, WJ, TS, Jazz of the wo...

Re: Headset for jets
I have to agree about the QC15. I've been using it on the NG for 2 years, absolutely love them. The balance of great noise cancelling as well as the practicality for deadheads and outside the flight-deck needs is perfect.dirk82 wrote:Bose QC 15 and a Ufly mike. Im OTS and my interview was 1.5 years ago, before the new CBA. I've asked the recruiters, but they haven't gotten back to me yet...holidays.

I would like to get some feedback from other who have been recently hired, or even pilots who have been with AC a while on a few working conditions. Not sure of the hours of current hires, but I know there's a Ground School starting September 1st with 18 new hires...sounds like a mix for all fleets.

Re: YYT CATIII
The CATIIIA restriction with 50ft DH on 737 is also in part due to the fact the A/C has no rollout function, so runway tracking after touchdown is maintained by the pilot. Hence the 50ft DH.

Wow... fellow pilots try to stick their head out for people who are laid off, and there's no cooperation. Interesting industry we have here.

Re: CanJet Airlines Laying Off Pilots, Cancelling Routes
This makes no sense! We're going to have Canjet rated guys sitting by and watching as more TFW's come into the country via the backdoor?!
Something needs to be done.

So if I understand correctly, it's the same pay for jet or Q4 captains. Is there expected to be any movement from Q4 to Jet captain in the future?
