Re: Industry Standard..."Dot Above" vs. "Dot Below"?
Apologies, It seems I was not quite clear enough in my original question. When you're in level flight about to intercept a glide slope from underneath as usual (whether or not I'm about to drop the gear here is irrelevant), the standard industry call (apparently) is "One Dot Above". Then maybe "Gear...

Industry Standard..."Dot Above" vs. "Dot Below"?
"Dot Below" makes more sense to me as I'm approaching under the Glidslope, but I'm hearing Industry Standard is usually "Dot Above"? I get that it's what the instrument is showing, but can anyone explain why THIS became industry standard and not the other way? Laziness? The PNF telling me "One Dot A...

Re: F/A-18E vs F-35: Why is the government still debating?
The SH flies nicely without weapons hanging off the wings, ie; at the Abbotsford airshow, but hang stores underneath and it quickly becomes a dog. Apparently Boeing's gonna send a Super Hornet to the Abbotsford show this year...with a Boeing test pilot to fly each day. No word on an F-35 appearance...

Re: F/A-18E vs F-35: Why is the government still debating?
Speaking with a very recently retired USMC F-18 driver he expressed how amazing the F-35 is...How it's "leaps and bounds" beyond any upgraded 4th generation fighter. He had no affiliations with LM or any stake in the JSF program. As a staunch supporter of purchasing the latest SHornet version he alm...

Re: Question
Although not a daily occurrence, I have seen/heard several USAF bombers around the Armstrong area over the past 2 years. Got pretty close to flight of 2 B-1's from . AFB, SD over Fort Hope Ontario, of all places...I have also heard B-52's in the area mostly during the summertime that flew a training...
