Wanted Bose headset repair in or near YWG

Hello
I have an old Bose headset that needs to have some wires replaces and the boom mike attached. I really don't want to buy another just now.
Does anybody know of a shop or a person that repairs them in the area of Winnipeg?
Feel free to DM or post here.
Thanks!

Re: Canadian living in the U.S. getting the boot...

Hi Hotwings I would definitely follow the advice by JBI. Canada is a great country to move, especially the way the US is going. I converted a US license to the Canadian one and it was a very simple process, although since it involves Transport Canada and the FAA it takes some time (I would say rough...

Type of engine on Canadian 737s

Hello
The FAA is going to issue an AD on the CFM56-7B due to the Southwest accident this week. I wonder which Canadian operators are actually using these engines as this could be a big issue depending on the requirements.

Re: Career in Aviation, realistic expectations

Hi LN2 I think you have more than a decent chance if you try to get in the game now. The big question will be if you can afford to be a pilot. There are many opportunities right now, just check the forum, but you are looking at making maybe 35/45K year to start. I started flying late too and it's ha...

Re: FLIGHT DISPATCHER TRAINING...???

Call to your local Transport Canada office and ask them. I did mine a couple of years ago in YWG and they had two dates weekly.
Good luck!

Re: Harv's Air pilotraining.ca for ATPL

I used their online courses to get the ATPLs as well as my Flight Dispatcher exams. Both were very good. I had a problem with my purchase when I bought one of the courses and it took them literally minutes to fix it. Highly recommended.

Re: Dispatcher - Information request

Hi Martin If you look in Avcanada you will find quite a bit of information about Dispatchers. If you have no previous experience it may be good for you to take the Flight Dispatcher exams. To actually take them all you need to do it to schedule the exam at your nearest TC office. There's a bunch of ...

Re: 2017 Aviation Reading List

If you like military aviation there's a bunch of good books: -Fighter pilot by Robin Olds about flying fighters in WW2 and Vietnam -Samurai by Saburo Sakai, a japanese pilot in WW2 -Yeager by . Yeager And my three favorites because of their historic value but also because they are fun to read: -Chic...

Re: 2017 Aviation Reading List

I would add Fate is the Hunter by Ernest K Gann. It describes early commercial flying in the mid 30s with DC 3s, C-87s and DC 4s among others. The descriptions of flying on northern Canada and across the Atlantic and the life of commercial pilots are impressive. It´s one of those few books that get ...

Re: FLIGHT DISPATCHER TRAINING...???

I used the course in http://www.pilottraining.ca/index.php?dispatch=products.view&product_id=259 I did it a year and half ago. It was really helpful to me. It's made on the model of the Gleim courses they have on the States, but requires some extra studing. It's expensive I guess but I saved me a lo...

Re: conversion FAA CPL canadian CPL

Thank you Victor. Where did you take the test? At Air Transport Canada o somewhere else. Are there many flying oportunities there?
I guess after a Winter with -40s anything warmer than -20 feels great!

conversion FAA CPL canadian CPL

Hi guys I will be moving to Winnipeg, MB in a few months and I want to convert my FAA licence to the Canadian one. I am aware I only need to take a written test (plus the medical test and having the FAA verify my licence). The question I have is if there is a source to study like Gleim´s book to get...
