hifly, You should really make sure of your facts before you try to throw names around. XXXX was very dedicated and worked very hard towards making CJ a better place to work. Any benefits you reap from ALPA you will owe partially to XXX for getting the ball rolling. I'm really glad to hear about the ...

CJ does indeed have a lot to offer a new pilot. CJ has great flight crews and office staff. The potential there is amazing if it just were in the right hands. The 73B is a wonderful a/c to have on your licence. It's a great introductory to the airline world. As of right now however most airlines don...

Just the facts, If you're going to try and convince pilots to work for Canjet don't sugar coat it as much. Most of what you say is true but tell the good with the bad. That way when CJ is shut down the next time, you're conscience can be clean. The newbies that have wasted precious time and lost sen...

There has never been such a boom in the aviation industry...pilots can pretty much pick where they want to work and what they want to fly. it won't last forever though. This is the time to pick that good job with the seniority number...and ride it to retirement or go fly that contract and make a lot...

You can put any spin on it that you want, or wear the rose colored glasses but even the old guard is leaving. You'd be surprised who's looking to greener pastures. just remember last one out turn out the lights.

C-MNOP, Normally I would agree with you but if you're a relatively low time pilot with no jet time than the CanJet Flight Training Academy can be of tremendous benefit. You could get the jet time you need to get onto WJ or AC. Sure you have to sign a thirty thousand dollar training bond but the mone...

The major problem right now is that at CJ it's seasonal employment. They don't even have anything nailed down for the fall yet. That makes it pretty hard when you need to make a financial decision. Then you add to that they have managed to take away every perk that used to come with working for an a...

There's really no story to that. AC isn't for everyone. A lot of the people I know that have left for AC or WJ have issues with it. Especially if you're a little older, with a family and commuting. It's hard to do all that on 37grand and keep a smile on your face. It's just hard to start over again.

I agree KW is a good choice but I'm not expecting much of a change. He's still got to try and convince R. He's going to have a hard road ahead if he actually wants to makes some changes. Pilots are still heading out the door. We're just experiencing a lull right now. The last wave has gone and the n...

The situation is in the past week we have had 4 pilots quit and a couple more waiting for their medical results for AC. We've lost about 12 pilots in the past month or so. (put in resignations)They are up to 97 on the list. Out of the 13 left there's only 3 that have expressed interest in returning....

I have heard that at CJ 23 pilots have been hired, completed groundschool, went to Miami for sim training and then promptly left for greener pastures. I think it's time to start looking after the lawn!!!

Yes....I know. There's not much left to do but count who's left CJ this week. But we can all rest comfortable knowing that Transat is happy with us. It's true you know...They told us!

I guess the latest wave have been through the AC interview process. The groundschools at AC are more like a CJ reunion. There's a few making travel plans to attend groundschools at WJ for march.

Now they never actually said they were going to get 700's. That would have meant there was actually something to announce. It was a big show with a lot of smoke and mirrors. Actually not even a big show, but the main thing is people actually have fallen for it.

I hear that with the full sched that they're running short of reserve and management is flying a little too much to their liking. Didnt need a crystal ball for this.

What is sad is the fact that once again management has a problem and they're turning a blind eye pretending nothings wrong. 5 pilots quite in one week. More to go in Feb and March. No responce from anyone except a sigh and to shove their heads further....................in the sand. Now you thought ...

I'm counting on head office watching this thread. one of the major problems is that not everything gets to the top. There's a hell of a lot intercepted, edited and kept away. It's sad but it is a method of making sure it gets to the top.

I'd agree with you except that ALPA is still going strong at CJ. We didn't go back to year 1 for salaries. It probably would have if it wasnt for ALPA. We'll also more than likely get everything else back once it goes to arbitration in the summer. Oh my God am I sounding optimistic!!!!....Not a chan...

Whats even sadder is that they're throwing "airbus" around. Run away as fast as you can. It's just more BS. They're starting to believe their own lies.
