The search button. The search button will give you all of the advice above and more in many threads. This fellow is a seasoned veteran of AvCanada. His next post may be about purchasing a type rating on a metroliner. Unlikely... I've never flown anything with more than one engine or a turbine...

Re: Corporate vs Airlines

My corporate bias may be showing, but it is a curious trend that when people ask questions about corporate flying the discussion is pretty civil. Yet, when airline talk emerges a complete free-for-all, WWE style royal rumble breaks out with one or two characters being smashed over the head with a ch...

I guess i can't relate to your world. I have owned a successful business and had jobs, of course, but never one with any security whatsoever. My aviation career has been effectively one day at a time. Yours seems better.

Re: Airman vs. Airperson Discussion/Poll

If you compared our language of 2019 to that used in 1919, would there be a difference? Is one better versus the other? Maybe, maybe not. Does it matter? Perspective is infinite. You're either really bored or really rattled here; that's my only fascination with this topic. The consequences here are ...

Re: Airman vs. Airperson Discussion/Poll

If your company went from a standard operating procedure of calling "positive rate" to calling "positive climb" would your internal circuits overload too? Changes in terminology are actually far less threatening to your well being than you may think. Nothing about you or what you are is under attack...

This would be a tough job to come into at this point, but for the right person it could be huge for the program.

There really is a Russian equivalent in everything related to aviation, isn't there?

Re: What do you do when you think someone should never fly again?

Discuss the situation with a chief pilot. I'm sure you aren't the only one who's raised issue. The chief pilot can put them back into line indoc, training, any number of options. They just need to know first. I concur. I always try to be the guiding hand that I would want when I was at an early sta...

I also say these incidents will become more frequent simply because of the sheer increase An overall change in climate extrem...
