I can guarantee you that what you would learn in this 8 month program you cannot "learn on your own through experience".
I've been flying for 30 years without a Seneca diploma. Is it too late for me to learn these valuable items?

Re: Career change to pilot

I'm on the opposite end, 40s, haven't worked a job outside of aviation since I was 14. Aviation and I have had our differences throughout the years, but we never fell out of love with each other at the same time. When she's absolutely loathed me and wanted me to pick up for greener pastures, I loved...

Re: 2018 Pilot Hiring

I see the ad is up now. What is the general time to upgrade? I'd come from corporate 604 world ~10,000 hours with 1500 PIC on a classic Boeing from another life. Still have 20+ years of flying left in me if I fly until 60.

Thanks,

CL

Shady is a fun and useful character that has been around for ages. He is also the only person who drew their avatar themselves. That still carries weight where I come from.

Ameristar 9363 March 2017

Interesting report just came out from an overrun at Willow Run airport involving an MD-83. Right elevator jammed, aircraft rejected well after V1. Aircraft was full with a college basketball team on board. Could have been far worse! https://aviation-safety.net/database/record.php?id=20170308-0 https...

And now Montreal is also getting into the act of restrictions due to construction... The aéroport de Montreal (ADM) has informed us that during the phase 1 rehabilitation of runway 24R/06L from March 18th, 2019 to June 30th, 2019 there will be a general aviation ban in effect for all arrivals betwe...

Re: Delta passenger claims pilot hit on him mid-flight with Grindr

Though Thorn said that if he didn’t have to catch his connecting flight, he would’ve met the captain. “I meet up with people all the time from Grindr,” Thorn said. “I think I totally would have met him for coffee.” I honestly have no clue how to respond to this. Buddy likes to meet people on this "...

I think they mentioned CYYZ, don't know what private hangar they are referencing. The posting echoes the Algonquin Airlink /Private Air tone for sure. Don't know if lines are borrowed or manager slid into startup ownership role. Who's interviewing first to find out? S. Pay - industry standard. Not ...

You know, your title implies that AC was at fault when in reality they were stationary, maybe it should read, “AC wing clipped”
I gotta agree, that's a bullshit title. Almost clickbait-esque.

Look to companies that offer shuttles for their employees. Bombardier, Pratt and Whitney, departments that do flying for mining companies. Stuff like that, there really is something for every taste in aviation.

I feel terrible to say it, but I do not have my own aircraft. My first few years, I always thought that as soon as I had access to a great schedule and salary, that I would be purchasing my own aircraft immediately. Now that I've finally found some comfort, I drive away from the airport with no inte...
