Re: WS/WO Layoff Mitigation Agreement

jjj: I admit I am not pro-alpa. and no, my butt is not hurting. This was never about Pro or Against Alpa, It was about saving jobs. I am very happy that a lot of jobs losses were mitigated and that a lot of my friends and colleagues will be able to pay their mortgages. That's all this was ever abou...

Re: WS/WO Layoff Mitigation Agreement

No fuckin shit! Seems like guys just want to whine for the sake of whining. The email (with details) is out btw. That’s why they unionized!!! Funny. Seems like most of the whining these days is from the "me! me! me!" anti-alpa crowd. WB capts at top of the scale calling for repeal of YOS, fun...

Re: One List

Kaplan dealt with that in his arbitrated CBA. Those pilots that flowed prior to Jan 1, 2019 retained their seniority rights, all others had that condition of employment terminated. Hi sarg, That is correct and I don't disagree. I was simply outlining that the seniority transfer was a previous condi...

Re: One list

Voting yes to this is a no brainer as it makes the pilots unified and content vs a divisive group. [/u] Industry leading really. It only strengthens us and the company. WJ has to wait for the encore TA to wrap up is my guess and glad the WJ MEC has stopped playing games to get this rolled out. Not ...

Re: What can a Q4 experienced DEC earn at Encore?

You don't even work at encore and you are giving advice or info on the pay? Sounds legit. Why you so mad bro? To the OP you are looking at 100g gross pay first year all in. I used to work there so... yeah...legit. As for 100k... no way unless you do line indoc + pick up quite a bit of overtime whic...

Re: What can a Q4 experienced DEC earn at Encore?

As a DEC I wouldn't bother coming to Encore. You will be working a lot more than anywhere else, pay isn't that great (I know 1000h King Air FOs making more), The FO level is dropping very quickly, no flow to mainline as of now, no One list, 50% of your pairings end with an extension... Jazz, Porter...

Re: Pilot Shortage / Minimums /disconnect

The ol' metro is a lot of airplane for a 600hr wonder, especially in winter. Carson had a low experienced Capt in a green on green situation do a runway excursion in Regina on a "PMA" ILS couple of years ago (I believed they touched down something like 8000' long). As far as I'm concerned, Kingair ...

Re: Where is this so called shortage

There sure is a shortage, but it's a shortage of reasonably experienced pilots. 3000+hours of good experience going into strips and conditions that are challenging. Entitled pilots are plentiful... .

CMA emergency landing in Vancouver

Single engine landing 26L. Reported fuel leak and minimum controlability. Good job on the crew for getting her in safely.

I heard 46 for the left seat out of cyxs medevac. Can't believe it but it came from a friend working there a couple of years ago. Hopefully it's gone up by a lot.

Well that helps a lot! Do you know anyone working at a fixed wing company that could help you get a job?

Re: Helo to Plank

I would think it would be the same as a fix wing guy going rotary. Sure you have decision making skills but no actual fixed wing flying experience so I would think it would be pretty tough to get anything that you could support a family on right away. Just my guess though.

Reapply?

Hi all,
I went through the interview and was PFOd shortly afterwards. In the pfo there was no mention of when I can reapply. Any suggestions on how long I should wait?
Thanks,
