Re: nav can awws site closure
My god this new site is utterly shit... sure we used to complain about AWWS being an abortion from the dark ages of dial up internet and faxes, but it was more functional and better laid out than this thing.

Re: AvCanada finally restored and functional once again
Readable, possibly. To actually interact with the forum with any sense of normalcy, not happening. Rather janky still - difficultly posting topics, difficulties replying to topics, slow loading time intermittently, etc.

Lynx Air Ceasing Operations February 26, 2024
Lynx Air has announced that they are seeking creditor protection, and will be ceasing all operations as of midnight, Monday February 26, 2024. Re: AvCanada finally restored and functional once again
Site continues to be quite janky today, very slow loading times - being logged out randomly, etc. Maybe it's time for an upgrade to a newer forum platform?

Substantial damage, by the look of the underside of the fuselage.

Re: 152 Crash CEJ4 - August 29th
Always follow the POH and engine manufacturer's recommendations, but generally you shouldn't lean in the climb below 3000ft as CHTs will rise too high. Full rich at 5300ft shouldn't be an issue in terms of causing engine problems. It will just reduce climb rate. Absolutely, follow the POH... But, r...

Re: 152 Crash CEJ4 - August 29th
Its quite surprising the effects of altitude and temperature on low powered piston aircraft. It shouldn't be, because it's something students are taught about in ground school as well as during training. But, the intensity/effect learning factor is only going to be drilled home when it is experienc...

Re: 152 Crash CEJ4 - August 29th
Didn't lean the mixture on a day with the density altitude at 5300' at max takeoff weight. I have never flown a 152. The POH suggests a 475' climb rate. Would full rich really reduce performance so enough that one would crash or is it possible that sloppy flying would have to be included to get to ...

Re: Adverse Reactions Poll
Your picture does not state that the tests are either over reporting or under reporting, only that they are "not reliable". It just states that healthcare facilities have access to much more accurate/reliable testing methods, and that for patient care decisions a lab based test is the gold standard...

Re: Adverse Reactions Poll
You're being intentionally obtuse in reading that memo as some sort of a "stone tablet" moment, that justifies all your quackery around anti-vaxxing and denying the pandemic. The guidance listed is that healthcare facilities will no longer be using rapid tests as a guide for patient treatment. Take ...

Re: Adverse Reactions Poll
It has also been revealed (actually known all along) that the testing kits are erroneous causing too many false positives. They have been discontinued. You might want to read the Global News reporting again, the BTNX rapid tests (green box) are giving erroneous false negative results. The tests are...

That used to be the way it worked, but Transport is now (and has been for some time, it was discussed on this forum...) empowered to contact the CRA and have any unpaid fees/fines applied against your tax return.

Re: Adverse Reactions Poll
Maybe instead of there being a huge conspiracy, it's more likely that a very few people want to add credibility to their claims by invoking the spectre of being silenced. I'm willing to listen, but I need facts. You've hit the nail on the head there. JerryRig, et el, have been spouting off about th...

Re: Adverse Reactions Poll
Perhaps instead of a grand conspiracy to 'take away muh freedumbs', it was an attempt by scientists and doctors - all around the world, and with a whole bunch of different political opinions - to reduce the loss of life due to the virus. Oh you poor, sweet, naive fellow... you're about to "feel the...

Re: TC Charge for Medical Renewal
Nope, been a thing since Christ was a carpenter. Always been a bit hit and miss with actually getting billed, though. For the longest time the medical processing fee was a flat rate $55. Then a few years back, the Liberals introduced a motion to allow Federal departments to increase processing and r...

Neat looking bird, and quiet to boot. Gotta do something about those exhausts though... can we graft on a PT6A-34 exhaust to give it a bit more of a certain je ne sais quoi?

Re: Adverse Reactions Poll
What a waste to die from a preventable disease. Sadly, it happens all the time. COVID is just another of the numerous conditions, diseases, or syndromes, that people have decided to "make a stand" about. What annoys me, is the massive waste of medical resources that went into attempting to save tho...

Re: Adverse Reactions Poll
Zero adverse reactions, beyond the standard sore arm that every vaccination gives. Up to five doses now, and with zero reactions (albeit rather lacklustre 5G and telepathic ability) I'll carry on with my subscription for the time being. Hopefully the next update fixes the reception issues... ...
