Sadly they don't take Canadian pilots without a green card. Been there done that.

Grey wolf. Let me get this straight. Porter doesn't tell the candidate if they were successful or not ?? But instead sweat it out and wonder when they will get a phone call. I have found too many false answers from people on this website

cdnpilot77 .... yes you can obtain your commercial/instrument without the hoopla. it is strictly the ATP that is causing the problem

guys; check out the FAA website. effective last year august 1 2014 ( been there, done that), the exam changed as far as qualifications to write it. you need an FAA approved facility to take ground school and Type C or D sim time. you can then take that $7000 dollar piece of paper and go and write yo...

thanks good to know . my boss said years ago, transport Canada said sure we can help with a fee from a private person and they will do it for you. looks like it will happen again.

so not sure if anyone has been to the latest 604 presentation but here's a question. I'm trying to find what does the DOT really want as far as quality assurance and SMS. I've already researched the CARS. (sections 604.206 and 604.04). lots of junk in there but not really explaining how it should be...

yes I already have the Canadian one but sadly it won't help with the sim or in class ground school. been on the phone a lot with the FAA. sadly I got my permission to write in july and not one thing was mentioned about this from them.
