Re: Remeber that F35 debate

In fairness...

The F14, F15, F16, Tornado were all better and still are in comparison to the 18.

So in 30-50 years time we will too, be looking at how we fucked up choosing the F35.

1) As a previous owner of a real Breitling & a fake one... Always go with the fake one. Way over priced for what you get. LMAO... Nothing could be further from the truth. Now in my 28th year with my Breitling and all I have done to it maintenance wise is battery changes. All well known brands of Sw...

Re: An-124 landing on nose-gear

I asked xchox about this very thing several months ago given he/she is the resident expert on Russian Aviation. Pretty standard apparently. Also, they are apparently designed to take repeated nose first landings. Also standard is throwing the reversers prior to touch down. Cool stuff.

Yeah, totally want to buy a plastic headset they don't make or support anymore... Get a DC and forget about it... Sennheiser supports the headset. And will, as long as the company is around. My brother in-law is in the music industry and they service his 10+ year old shit. The Senn S1 is the best h...

Only 4 questions need to be answered: 1) How much of the sale money goes to Bombardier execs? 2) How much of the sale money goes back to repay government loans? 3) How many jobs have been sent to Alabama? 4) Does the Tariff still stand? 1)huh? % of revenue will go to each shareholder of the c-serie...

One would assume that you would log climb and decent as VFR and cruise as instrument as you have no reference to ground. Just my thoughts... Not to be taken as fact.

Re: Porter Mentorship Program

Hey their old timer, ATI hasn't existed at the Island for like 15-20 years. If at all. Porter kicked Canadian Flyers out back to Markham when they needed room to expand the FBO and/or MTCE like 6 years ago. Island Air is still there, and I believe there is now a new school FlyGTA. But FlyGTA I think...

Re: Chilliwack coffe Shop Close Feb 26,2017

Same shit happened at Buttonville. Seneca, FlightExec etc have left or are preparing to leave for Condos. And then there's City Center; Porter/Ports kicked out Druxys, Dooleys, Canadian Flyers, and is most likely trying to push Eagle, Island Air, GTAir out. Probably trying to find a loophole to get ...

FSI if you want the cuter hand bag.
CAE if you want the higher quality pen.
PAA if you want to be a better pilot.

If it affects the flight itself I would just do it regardless.

Now if your passengers reading light is INOP... Keep that to yourself.

Any legitimate Pilot bars left?

Just curious... I remember one in CYQT in the old Canadian Flight Centre. There is a Mayday Malone's just north of CYTZ (which oddly enough doesn't count because it is a baseball themed bar). Wheat Sheaf also north of CYTZ i'm told is the official watering hole of Island Air and Porter pilots. I rem...

Re: Jets at 'The Island.'

It's not the noise or the pollution and I don't think it ever has been, it's the expanded operation that jets represent. If it were really noise and pollution the Gardiner would be gone. People don't mind the occasional C17 or even F18 because that's kinda cool right? But they don't want a large bu...
